So has it been confirmed that we're getting at least one Japanese bonus track? Putting my money on the 1992 demo of Going Nowhere that was recorded in Mark Coyle's bedroom. I think you're right or a live track from G-Mex. I'm afraid for the Knebworth release, we already have in HD: Champagne Supernova, Cast No Shadow, Don't Look Back In Anger (2nd night), Morning Glory and The Masterplan. Columbia, Wonderwall, The Masterplan, Champagne Supernova and now My Big Mouth in audio... Don't forget Cast No Shadow audio that was released as a bonus track on iTunes.

Sad theres not the All around the world version from the Boardwalk on it. But I think there's just no complete record of it... They could chuck up whatever footage they have on their YouTube account. Where else would they release it? Would be a nice little treat.

I thought the same, but somewhere I saw the tracklist with the running time and it says that this version is longer than 6 minutes. The one by the pool is not close that... Maybe they recorded several versions "by the pool" and this is a version that wasn't used - hence it being listed as an "outtake". There are definitely 2 versions of Stand By Me by the pool. As someone said, i think it was edited for tv. There are 2 versions of Be Here Now from Air Studios as well, from the RHRN documentary

I wonder if the alternate mix of My Big Mouth mentioned by Noel in this Shortlist interview is usable. The way it's referred to seems a bit ambiguous, like it was maybe attempted but not finished. Interesting. In every other interview he's said he did one song (or spent an hour on it). The little tinker!

Also interesting to see no HEROES or STREET FIGHTING MAN despite there being extra room on CD 2. The b-side HELTER SKELTER was also recorded during the BE HERE NOW sessions. It's a money issue i think. Bowie's camp and Rolling Stones were probably asking for too much money.

In all seriousness, if he had done more than DYKWIM he'd be bragging about how great it all was before not releasing it...

Pre ordered the LP and 3CD. I love the NG 2016 Rethink everytime I hear it, the strings are gorgeous. Especially just after the first chorus, just beautiful. The one criticism I'd have of it though is the abruptness of the outro, I'd rather it just fade out rather than just jump into the feedback. This release is just too good to be true, fingers crossed the remastering is good! Could the DGA demo be the one that's on YouTube, the 30 second clip one?

Will you guys download it if it leaks? No. Those are definitely not the Mustique demos. They somehow ended up on a bootleg cassette I got around a month before BHN was released. Owen Morris's theory sounds the most plausible. I personally cannot wait to hear the Mustique tape - been waiting too long now. I just hope that those songs / recordings live up to their 'Holy Grail' status. Another thing while I'm here... Are these coffee table books actually worth the extra dosh? For DM and MG I just got the 3 cd special editions as I couldn't see the justification of the price tag, particularly if you've already got the vinyl. Is there anything in these books that we wouldn't already have read about, funny anecdotes etc or just outtake photos? I have a DM coffee table book and it's nice item to own, but to be honest, I only looked in the book a couple of times after I bought it. It depends on what you want and what you collect. Nice to see you back, Tom!

Well well well, i make my rant and leave this thread because I got sick of it and look what fucking happens. I just heard the new D'ya know what I mean and well shit.....the orchestra is actually there in all its string glory. It's the same backing that was played when they played ot live I'm pretty sure. Fuck Noel, this is a nice Christmas present.

I'm really curious about that second Don't Go Away demo. I hope it's an old one, maybe with Liam on vocals (but chances on that are pretty slim, I guess).
I fear it could be another "fake" demo, i.e. a rough soundcheck recording.

That's my guess too. They're already paying for HELP and the budget probably wouldn't stretch to licencing two or three more covers.

Given Bowie's recent passing, it would have been pretty disrespectful to put out such a dreadful cover a second time...

It's a share of the publishing money, of which Noel's share will obviously be diluted for each composition included that isn't his. He probably in conjunction with Sony Music Publishing et al decided that it wasn't worth the extra percentages given that many fans will have heard those covers anyway, and the more important thing artistically I suppose is the original material.

I'd wish they'd release Mustique also as a separate LP/CD with his own artwork and booklet even if it's only an oasisinet store exclusive for fans. I'll buy the 3CD set anyway but it would look so good on my shelve.

Nothing to do with respect mossy and everything to do with publishing royalties I would wager

Probably been posted a million times but it's interesting that Be Here Now's original song title was Trip Inside. Interested to see the differences.

I just picked my DM box set from upstairs and looked in the coffee table book. It's as big as a LP (heavyweight hard cover) and contains same pics as the CD booklet, but slightly more pics than the CD booklet.
