It amazes me that after so many Oasis albums and his first solo album, people want Noel to "experiment".
He is what he is. If you like it, buy it. If not, don't. I thought NGHFB was awesome.

I think it was finished, he just decided against releasing it for some reason.

I seriously doubt they will be the AA versions if any of those songs do appear on this go around. Noel did say he would re-record those tunes in a more "traditional" manner. We shall see. |

Thing is, he's never going to get experimental with Dave Sardy is he? That man probably has crisp sandwiches for his lunch everyday.
Where does he start with a producer to 'push the boundaries'? Amorphous Androgynous is a start, but he's proven himself he can do electro/dance work with his collaboration with Chemical Brothers and The X Files soundtrack tune 'Teotihuacan'.
I know electro isn't everyone's taste, but it can be tweaked here and there so Noel's fundamental qualities of melancholy and melody isn't lost.
As for the Amorphous Androgynous album, is it finished? If it is, just leak it online or whatever - free on itunes, an 'accidental' release to YouTube.
Most worrying thing about that though, the one thing that maybe stops this is that I would gather that a lot of personnel were involved in the making of that album and they wouldn't be none too happy without getting a fee for it if it were leaked or available for free. But it must have costed Noel a fortune to record also - to hire all those people. A massive shame if a lot of money and effort went to waste on it and it was never heard.

U2 have done it today too! Have a feeling Radiohead are about to come out with an album soon too, out of the blue. Noel will NEVER, like U2, release an album to grab for free on iTunes. He would if Apple paid him $100 million to do so. |
