Yeah it was arcade fire he was criticising wasn't it? At the end of the day as long as you have enough material to sustain a double album then why the fuck not? The ironic thing about Noel's Arcade Fire double album comments is that he admitted to not have heard the LP at all. Besides, Reflektor is actually shorter than The Suburbs which is a single CD. And reflektor was probably the best album last year.

The forum is going to explode in less than 24 hours! Has anyone thought that this could potentially be a double album? After all we know that noel has tons of songs lying around. Why not just get rid off 20 of the best and blow us all away? I think I read some interview in which he said double albums are bullshit and arrogant unless you're the Beatles or one of the few other bands he mentioned that I forgot. I think that this is just stupid, why is it not arrogant or stupid, when its done by the beatles? if a musician has the concept of doing this and a bulk of great songs ins his pocket, then why the fuck not. Sometimes the close mindedness by the gallaghers is really stupid in my honest opinion. as much as I like them, sometimes I really do not understand them.

So you think we will hear a new song tomorrow ? Knowing Noel we'll be lucky to get a 20 sec taster. He doesn't strike me as a guy who goes all in from the word go and I reckon the announcement and opportunity to ask questions is the main event. I hope I'm wrong.

Criticize something you haven't even heard. Gimme a break.

What a waste of a platform when so many fired up fans are tuning in across th globe. Seize the moment Noel, PLAY YOUR NEW SINGLE...............................PUSSY!

It was pretty funny when he said the costumes were just to distract from the shitty disco coming out at the concerts though. But he was probably just being grumpy, didn't noel like the first few arcade albums?

I have good feelings about tomorrow. This whole thing seems too spectacular for just Noel coming to say the album will be out in fuckin' March.

I don't know how a man can slate Arcade Fire's double album considering he let so much shite sneak its way onto Oasis' latter albums.

Oasis barely had enough good material for LPs between 2000 and 2008.

A lot of the stuff on there was just outright shit - not shit compared to their classic, but just outright shit. It was shite of the type that you're used to from Jet or The Enemy. I mean come on, fucking Jet and fucking The Enemy? I'd rather be seen dead than buy that embarrassing crap. P.S. Which reminds me of another point about Oasis - apart from Travis and Kasabian, why were the support acts just downright awful? I love the guy and his solo album (and hopefully albums) has gone some way to forgetting the pain of later Oasis, but come off it Noel, you speak some real crap sometime.

I don't think the support acts were terrible at all? Which tours era are you thinking about? Obviously they might not been all to your taste but they were one of the only bands youd defo wanna see the supports and not just wait in the pub / bar until 9pm.

Back in late 2000, early 2001, I wanted Coldplay to open for them but they blew up too fast. The Soundtrack of Our Lives was a good opener.

The support act for DBTT European leg was The Coral which I'm still happy about it.

Awful. Okay, fair enough, I take you point that the whole list isn't actually that bad, but these 4 acts alone make it difficult to think of other acts. Just in my era that much of the time when it was possible to see them, I seemed to draw the short straw, mainly UK bands who supported the UK legs who were the prime suspects. If I was living in America, it would probably be a different story.

I saw them twice and the support were The Subways, The Redwalls, The Bees and Doves. Can't complain there. BRMC's support at Finsbury is on YouTube and sounds fucking amazing. Oasis always gave a foot up for the young bands coming through.
