Songs of Experience and They Don't Own Me sound promising. Out of My Body starts off very interesting but then gets bland. Isn't that a U2 album? Coming to you in 2030 with various production changes and diluted mainstream songs!

I'm still blown away when I listen to those early Verve EPs and albums. I wish Richard would return to some of that sound but I guess that's what separates solo Richard from Verve Richard. That's because Richard isn't responsible for that sound. It's Nick McCabe. A massive talent going to waste - Nick at the moment, not Richard. Noel should hire him for some sonic mindblowing sounds for his next album!

Black Submarine's (The Black Ships) album wasn't great either. It wasn't great but it was very good. Eclectic and ambitious. I really, really like at least 5 tracks from it, the rest has some flaws but it's still a very enjoyable listen.

Judging by his Facebook/Twitter posts and interviews, he despises Britpop and everything related. I'm not sure Noel would like to work with him either

I remember a video from a couple of years ago in which he put some of his guitar gear for sale: he came across as a truly genuine and humble guy in there though.

^^Wow, surprised to see no Bittersweet Symphony in there. Fine with me, but I think some will surely come away disappointed. I would love to hear more older Verve numbers from ASIH, ANS done acoustic. Easy enough to pull off and stripping them back of the glorious shoegaze fuzz you find there is still a good little acoustic tune in there. Especially with a voice like Richard's.

How the hell has this album not leaked yet!? It leaked back in 2000, titled 'Alone With Everybody'.

They've just uploaded the official Hold On video on YouTube and it's beyond cringeworthy. WTF.

Great song. Shades of Lucky Man, especially the 'they don't own me' line which sounds a lot like the 'oh my my' refrain - to my ears at least.
