Well,between this year's ending and next year's beggining we'll got the new album. I kinda like some tracks by his solo work like New Town Velocity,Candidate,Back In The Box,Easy Money...even the Depeche Mode cover was great. Hope this time we get a great album and not a mediocre one with good tunes as usual.

A couple of years ago Johnny wrote a soundtrack together with Hans Zimmer for the movie 'Freeheld'.
I listened to it again today and it's so beautiful. Check it out on Spotify if you haven't heard it already.
Here's one of my favorite tracks from the score, Johnny's guitar is unmistakable on it.

Isn't gonna be called Crazy Face Factory? That Q magazine feature says that 'Crazy Face Factory' is the name of his new recording studio just outside Manchester. Although it would really like it as an album title too. |

It's been confirmed in the new issue of Uncut Magazine that the new album is named "Call the Comet" and it will be out on June 22!
I'll add scans of the article later.
By the way, it's been confirmed that this song, Spiral Cities, will appear in the new album:

shit- that's a long wait!
but i'll take it.
hopefully he drops a single soon - like spiral cities. wow. all kinds of influences on there- including the chameleons and some 80's pet shop boys?...and of course, Himself hah.
incredibly i've only just listened to his son Nile's debut album from 2 years ago.
