SPOILER: Reading the following will ruin the track, Jeweller's Hands, for you. You won't be able to listen to it the same again. You've been warned.Oh and this is a serious post and I only noticed it because I was listening to Humbug (and therefore Jeweller's Hands) right now. Don't get me wrong, Jeweller's Hands is one of the best off of Humbug and is a tune, but the melody during the second half is a direct rip off of Britney Spears' Toxic. How Turner didn't get sued by Spears, I will never know. It's the fucking same just with a slower tempo, and has more similarities than Oasis' Whatever has to Niel Innes' Sweet Idiot song. It may as well be Britney Spears singing the second half on Jeweller's Hands - It wouldn't be out of place, that's for damn sure. Direct Copy. Same fucking thing: vs. how old are you? Just an observation. No different than pointing out Green Day ripping off Wonderwall...... Don't be bitter because you don't like what I pointed out.

His recent speech at The Brits was quite possibly the most embarrassing sequence of sentences and words that I have witnessed in quite some time.

One word to defend him at least. When he was with Alexa Chung. That was fuckin' impressive, that girl is beautiful. Those were his glory days, musically in songwriting terms and come on, she was perfect. Too bad girl got bored of him and he turned into a prick.

It seems like she is. I didn't heard about it. I give her half of time with Turner to get bored of Coldplay frontman . She seems like a cruel woman and Chris Martin seems to be a very sensitive dude. Next album will be sad as fuck.

His fashion sense might be a bit weird, but AM are a great band no matter what people say. So yeah, tunes & voice, can' t judge from feminine side If he' s attractive or so.

I understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and yes, Alex may not be to you're liking, but at least he hasn't let fame get the better of him. Just like other bands similar to arctic monkeys, they worked their way from the bottom, to the top. Alex Turner's beautiful and interesting lyrics are truly planned out and have clearly had a huge amount of thought put into them, so for those shaming his lyrical skills. Stop. One of their songs leaked into the pop charts and unfortunately for hardcore Arctic monkeys fans, they became the typical band to listen to if you're a teenager trying to be 'indie' and 'cool'. Thus creating a huge liking toward to the lead singer-Alex. He portrays this image of not giving a fuck and being an overall arsehole, which to younger adults, almost appeals to them. He's also appeared in a several GQ magazines which would boost people's liking towards him. I have to say honestly that I love his behaviour towards most things and kinda wish people should stop shaming him, but hey ho, can't make everyone like something.

I like most of their music, but not Alex' image on stage. It was annoying as fuck to see him do his hair 20 times and to watch him "dance". Can't judge about his behaviour during interviews as I have never watched any of them.

Yeah can we all agree Miles Kane and Jake Bugg are rubbish?
My opinion on them hasn't changed - I think they are a pair of right charlatans and frauds in making people believe they are more sophisticated than current pop stars, but like bubblegum pop stars, get others to write their songs for them.
They are part of whats wrong with music, not the solution.

Whilst I'm not a fan of either i can't see that it matters as to who writes the songs it only becomes a problem if the performer does not have an identity of there own.

I like Jake Bugg and also a couple of Miles Kane songs. The fact that others have written their songs for them doesn't change. And maybe if people find out who wrote the songs maybe they will check out their stuff too. I don't see a problem, their music is good, and of course I admire people who write songs themselves a lot more, but it's good. The difference between this and bubblegum pop is that this ain't bubblegum pop.

Understand your point and it's applicable to many singers and I enjoy the likes of some Rod Stewart for example, but I find it hypocritical of guys like Kane and Bugg who portray themselves as rebellious independent individuals and slate chart singers for being untalented.

Heard an interview with Turner recently and he sounded Anglo-American like when Lennon moved to America for a few years. No sign of a thee, tha or ee-by-gum!
