I would think so. They're just not up to anything musical at the moment.

They're still around. Probably have a new album in the next 2 years. If they have split, they haven't bothered to tell anyone.

They're still a band unless somebody hears anything otherwise. But I do think they're taking a bit of a break at the moment now...which makes sense, as they've basically been working nonstop for 3-4 years.

What makes people think Beady Eye are no more? They released an album one year ago. Naturally the next year is a bit of a breather and a period of rest coming. We've all gotten plenty of Beady Eye material since 2011 (2 albums, plenty of b-sides, bonus tracks and tours). I think the band is fine at the moment. They also have personal lives to live as well.
Beady Eye shall return........................................

I was hoping they might be announced as support for kasabian in Leicester. No support acts announced yet which seems weird.

Honestly , I think there on a hiatus , with no commitment to future yet . Liam would love oasis to reunite. they've gave this there all , to come back so quick after a lackluster response to there follow up would be foolish ......so I think there all free to do " side projects " and then reassess the band in the future .. Sorta like" the firm " page made a couple of lps , never really broke the band up,, just went on to " side projects " if the band regroups cool .....me personally I hope the break up , you all know I think it's perceived as OASIS sans Noel,or OASIS LIGHT ..... cut the cord move on IMO. Or regroup as Oasis. but even I don't think that's happening as a pernmaemt thing

Someone recently brought up the rumour of having heard that Beady Eye won't record another record and when Paul G. was asked about this on twitter he answered that nothing's set in stone, or sth like that. Of course he wouldn't answer "Beady Who?" but it is something, at least. So maybe they are in some kind of hiatus. It would fit with Liam's statements last year that he'd gonna need a break if BE won't be a success.

Honestly...I think it would do Liam some good to break away from Gem and Andy for a bit. As people have said, it just reminds everyone too much of Oasis. Why doesn't he just sing on other people's projects?

I don't see the point in another Beady Eye album. Then what do you suggest? Suggestions for Beady Eye and any other band in general:1) if your album is not a big seller , theres no point to release another one album 2) if your album is not better than an Oasis album, theres no point to release another one album 3) if your gigs are smaller than oasis, theres no point in touring 4) if your music, guitar music, is not cool anymore, theres no point to release another one album. 5) if you are not a better songwriter than Noel Gallagher, theres no point to release your music. 6) even if your music is good enough/great but you are not able to achieve all these things (charts, massive gigs, better than Oasis), there s no point to release new music 7)if you are getting older or "bald", theres no point to release your music. 8)if you canr saty young forever and if your voice s changing, theres no point to release your music. 9) i dont care : if your fans adore/love you, if you make it in the charts with a good position and sales (for a guitar band) and your music is good enough/excellent. split up now or release a rnb dance album

80% of everything theyve done since they formed has either been unprofessional, below par, or down right embarrassing. Theyve maybe got 5 decent tunes. But not a single one outstanding. There is absolutely no future in the music industry for them.

My suggestion for Beady Eye is to go California, hangout with Joshua Homme for a bit, go to Rancho De La Luna, spend 2 months in the desert, take as many drugs as it's possible, and record some rock n roll stuff in Ginger Elvis's company.

There is absolutely no future in the music industry for them. Many people will jump on this as trolling and will vehemently defend Beady Eye, but as a fan who queued many hours to meet the band and has listened extensively to their material, this is actually pretty on the money. Unless something drastically changes I can't see a commercial future for the band.

They will never be as big as Oasis, I disagree with none of their songs being outstanding.
The Four letter word and Flick of the finger alone are already outstanding. It depends on how much Liam loves his fans, he can keep them happy by releasing more music but there' a chance he can keep ruining his own legacy if they keep releasing albums which aren't a hit.

i just want them to take long enough of a break to where i like more than 2 or 3 songs they release. i figure that's about a 5 or 6 year hiatus, which is fine - i have lots of hobbies and other interests.
Thanks.

There is absolutely no future in the music industry for them. How exactly did you arrive at this 80% figure? A well educated guess on close observation. The whole project has been utterly mediocre. From day one the managemnent of all things musical has been nothing short of shocking. Choice of singles, lack of promotion, etc. The songs just arent up to scratch either. And Liams antics over the course have been extremely poor in the main also. Thats my view anyway.

I think one of their biggest mistakes was blowing their load with the BE material by releasing it all at once. Drip feeding fans new music over a 12 month or so period is always better in the end because you know you have something to look forward to and whenever a new single is announced / released it gives you a reason to go back and listen to the album all over again. All we had to look forward to was a load of mediocre videos I never even got to see them play the BE songs live because I couldn't make that one London date they played. I do quite like the album but its been a very disappointing album cycle all round.
