I don't know much about the band or Alex turner but i've seen earlier award acceptances from them and he seems different now..really arrogant to the point where he's trying to do what Oasis would do lol

I fucking hate Alex Turner and find the Arctic Monkeys to be extremely over rated by the 14 year old try hard indie girls who listen to them, however to say no one listens to them any more is ludicrous. I don't have the figures to hand nor can I be arsed checking, but I would guess their current album had sold quite a few copies. Also, you don't get awards unless you make record labels lots of money, which means you are in some way fairly popular. |

Their debut was in 2006 so don't know what 2003 has to do with anything. And the fact they keep winning these awards and have also scored 5 straight no.1 albums (Turner himself 6) would suggest plenty of people listen to them. They are an amazing band, have a vast collection of brilliant songs and they are still going strong. Seem to be making in roads into America now as well. But yeah, like you say, a has been.  |

i'm not really a fan of Arctic Monkeys tbh, have nothing against them but I don't think they're big enough to be acting like that either, not that anyone should but if you are at least make it more believable..he looks like hes trying too hard

Listen granted I only talk of Oasis and zep of course , other than that I talk shit about sports and stuff. Been doing it for nearly 12 years here ...I personally wanna thank WirralRiddler as most know I hate all things new , to me all is new since Oadis formed , in music , or how I met your mother debuted on TV ( well Big Bang theory ) I tend to not like new .....but riddler consyantly talking of them made me listen and I liked , then I seen others here who I respect like them . So more power to him he got me to listen .....as for the speech , it was stupid , but if Liam did it in say 97 we woulda ate it up |
