When he starts dangling babies from balconies or having sleep overs with young boys, then i'll start to worry about him. He made a speech as is common practice when accepting awards. Usually he keeps it short and sweet but this time he went for something a bit more ambitious which was defo tongue in cheek, a bit of a laugh. He's seems to get slagged off whatever he does, he can't win. Its all about the music at the end of the day, and he and his band make great music. Mate, If you're getting so protective of AM, then why are you on an oasis forum? Because Oasis are my favourite band, have been for near enough 20 years. |

i'm not really a fan of Arctic Monkeys tbh, have nothing against them but I don't think they're big enough to be acting like that either, not that anyone should but if you are at least make it more believable..he looks like hes trying too hard He made a speech as is common practice when accepting awards. Arctic Monkeys are the best band about at the moment in my opinion, at least until the Roses get their act together. Not that I really care, but people slating Alex Turner for that speech must find Liam unbearable then!

He doesn't seem to have the ability to pull off this speech. It just seemed so forced which rendered a decently written speech to the point of sounding cheesy. Alex's personality has always been rather bland and this new "attitude" that he has adopted just seems fake. Musically speaking I think the Arctic Monkeys have just made their finest work so far, so I don't really let this sort of thing change my view of the band. Seeing them in a month too  |

True this, this was the kind of stuff Liam and Noel were always doing, stealing the show with speeches and rock star behaviour that wound up the right people and got them column inches. Look what it did, got the AM's all over the paper, magazines, Twitter etc, Their Albums sold again with AM going up to number 3 that week, plus it made a otherwise boring awards show interesting. |
