I know it isnt really a problem that they've sourced that artwork from elsewhere, but was there really any need to do it? They could just have easily come up with something equally satisfactory themselves!
That said, I doubt many people apart from us really saw it anyway.

Why are you only finding a prob with it now and not with every other BE release they just used classic images which for most part people at the very least accepted I'd guess as it was the art direction they wanted to take and trevor jackson executed it with style

Up until now I haven't seen any BE release identical to any other persons release.

ok yeah see your point when using iconic images from 40+ years ago as your art direction, you best make sure some French? compilation album not used the image before. The image is a play on northern soul so can see why the used it in relation to the art direction with the ethos of the Gallagher's If you dont like recycling of style and content for the greater good surprised you're here

So what do you have to say about Coldplay using Eugène Delacroix's 'Liberty Leading the People'(1830) for their album cover? Do we if the photo is original to the cover used for this other cd? Having a problem with this is crazy in my opinion.

"It isn't really a problem" - I don't care where they get the artwork from, that's goes for any band. I just feel there's no need to use things that already exist - and that doesn't reflect what I think about the music, the fact that I'm posting on here shows an admirable tolerance to Oasis and their frequent musical borrowings.

They been using images that already exist for 40+ years for this whole album? Guess those images been seen lots as a famous photographer So your saying musical borrowings are fine which gallagher's done their whole career (and the music is the whole point) but artwork borrowing is a big no no (tho the oasis logo basically the decca logo) They aren't copying that compilation album they didn't see that and thought cool they did there art direction based on harri peccinotti
