So your saying musical borrowings are fine which gallagher's done their whole career (and the music is the whole point) but artwork borrowing is a big no no (tho the oasis logo basically the decca logo)

They aren't copying that compilation album they didn't see that and thought cool they did there art direction based on harri peccinotti

Slow down, I never said it was a "big no no" - all I said was that it would surely be just as easy to use fresh artwork as to recycle it.
I wasn't endorsing either way of doing it.

Well yes i am sure it's just 'as easy' to think of 'new' artwork style as is to search through 40 years or prior images to choose what image you want to put out.
As you said you personally didn't find it a 'problem' until you saw it been used before so many people will never see that and lots already would know but as a whole they used their own artistic right and chose.
