Anyone know why Oasis didn't retain Zeb Jameson as permanent keyboardist? He did a great job on the 2000 tour (see Familiar to Millions - that's him), plus he is a great all-around musician. Bio

Perhaps oasispodcast knows the answer to this, as Zeb was on an episode back in 2018 I believe.

No, except Who Feels Love? synth was sounding awful on other songs this tour. Synth is shit for Oasis sound, piano is good

As I understand it, The bands normal keyboard player was Mike Rowe. He had played with the band on the be here now tour and the early part of the SOTSOG tour but due to commitments with sheryl crow he left halfway through the American leg of the tour in about April 2000 and then Zeb took over. I believe zeb played all the gigs on the rest of the world tour and then played the South American festival dates in January 2001 before Mike Rowe took over again for the Tour of brotherly love with the black crowes.
Iβm not 100% sure but I think the video posted at the top of the thread was Zebβs first job with the band, the MTV acoustic session in Jan/Feb 2000 where they played WFL and SMC

Zeb played on TOTP with Noel and Gem doing SMC which was broadcast on 30/6/00.
Funnily enough Noel had left the band following the fall out with Liam in Barcelona on 20/5/00 so I think this could have been recorded between 22nd and 30th as there was a weeks gap in the tour between the following dates: Sporthalle - Hamburg (Germany) 22nd June Werchter Festival - Werchter (Belgium) - 30th June

Zeb is also present with Noel and Gem for an acoustic performance of WFL on Much Music which was possibly filmed on 29/4/00 in Toronto, Canada

When did Jesus join Oasis? In 2002? Or 2005? Did they even have a keyboard player in 2002?

Even though I always enjoyed the contributions of Mike and Jay I've always liked what Zeb added to the Familiar to Millions concert. His synth parts on that night just kinda worked for me even though I think Mike is the best out of the three.

I wonder what happened to Zep and also Jay Dalington as they don't seem to be connected with Noel or Liam anymore.

I just wondered what had happened to Oasis's ex key board players who we don't hear about anymore.

who do you think this is there? 0.41 I believe Mike Roweβs first work with oasis was MTV unplugged and this is just before that. If anyone has a programme from the gig it should be mentioned in there

looks like some 80's casio player from an obscure band (that few-bucks-stand doesn't help)

To be honest I've never really thought about when Mike Rowe joined Oasis. But as for the band's keyboard player before him I'm not really sure who they were.

Perhaps we need to find out who he was so they can get him on the oasis podcast, he must have a few stories. Iβm guessing but I think they only had a keyboard player and string section for the big gigs ie Earlβs Court, Maine road, Loch Lomond, knebworth and the gigs in cork.

Yeah, that would be a good idea to get the keyboard player (whoever he was) on the Oasis podcast. But I guess even if they do find out who he was he might not want to do it. But it would be good to hear what he has to say.
