Let's say you had the choice of going to a Beatles concert of 2 hour duration or an Oasis concert of 2 hour duration.
Oasis for me.
The Beatles have more 7/10 8/10 9/10 songs... but on the 10/10 11/10 front Oasis shade it for me.
(Obviously, with no Beatles there's no Oasis though)

Well, I'd rather listen to Oasis at their commercial peak than the Beatles'(considering Beatlemania was at it's peak in 1964), but I don't want to compare their later albums..

The Beatles didn't bring in Andy Bell and Gem Archer to write bad songs that piss all over their legacy did they?

For me, the only one I thought was decent from those two were Turn Up The Sun, apart from that, I cannot listen to their other ones sadly.

In this context "at their peak" meant at their best. So basically comparing Morning Glory and DM to Rubber Soul, Revolver, Pepper, Abbey Road etc.

I ask because most members on this board like both bands (including myself)..whats your honest opinion? Were/Are Oasis better than The Beatles at their best?

Shocked how many people have voted for Oasis. My favorite band for sure but better than The Beatles? Nah.
