Just watched their performance at Cork Opera House from last week, the first night of their World Tour (thanks eva!). Love "I need My Girl" by Matt and Lisa Hannigan and "Maybe Not" cover by the only one Chan Marshall. |

Support act for Amsterdam show has been confirmed. Buke and Gase. Shame, not Lisa Hannigan ( eva!). Never heard of Buke and Gase, but I quite like this song. |

isn't it amazing how some songs can grow on you. when the album first came out 'walk it back' was in my bottom three, but now i really dig it.  |

No, I'm only seeing them for one night. I sold my ticket for the second night a while ago as I have a quite busy month with work and had 4 gigs in 3 weeks time. Matt has to miss me on second night. Poor guy. |

They were fantastic last night. Matt was continue on a fire and was very wild with his wine next to him. He went off from stage and got into the crowds a couple of times as usual. His microphone flew above my head. I felt sorry for a one crew guy as he had to keep an eye on Matt to make sure that he won't get struggled with his microphone code. My highlights were 2 old songs - Santa Clara and Karen. Karen is from their 3rd album "Alligator" and I love this song. "We haven't played this song for a long time...Karen" (Matt) I have to admit that their 2 latest albums are a bit "mellow" compared to the older ones and my most favourite album of theirs is still "Boxer", but they had to take all the long long way road to become what they are now and they finally got what they deserve. I really wish Lisa Hannigan supported them last night. It would have been brilliant to hear her singing with Matt live. On our way back home, my other half said to me "he (Matt) is definitely one of the best singers out there, but he won't make a final for "The Voice" though" What a voice, my Mr. Heavenly Voice. |

If I was there last night, I would have cried. That means they DID play "Gospel" as well! One of my all time favourites by The National, but I've never heard it live! |
