Let me guess.. They've probably also covered She is Love and The Nature of Reality... Why does everybody hate (Probably) All in the Mind, She Is Love and The Nature of Reality? I don't get it, I won't say they're my favourites but they're not (that) bad. It's anoying too see that everybody (seems to) hate it. (I wonder how many on the forum actually give the songs above a fair try) These are the weakest songs of the albums they got released on (although Better Man is a good candidate for HC as as well), but I do quite like TNOR and She Is Love. The lyrics in SIL make me cringe but I like the melody and the wacky keyboards. PAITM is just dirge though. I don't have words for that.

She is Love is a B Side...Noel Gallagher : "I woke up and thought I'm going to write a song about someone I'm in love with...its called Cocaine be my Friend" said Noel Gallagher in 1997.

When I got into Oasis it was because they were the perfect encapsulation of 30 years of British Rock, they had a swagger and songs like Some Might Say, Supersonic and Rock 'n' Roll Star were the embodiment and voice of disillusioned youth. Then Noel comes along with a song which would consider itself lucky to be a Kooks b-side and releases it as a double a-side because he's feeling all loved up.
I cannot tell you how horrified I was when that song first came on

Don't look back in anger is shit. I can't believe people love it! And those lyrics. Pfff. People should start appreciating songs that show signs of true genius, such as Probably All In The Mind. Now I don't know if this is a sarcastic reply to my post but just because I don't rate DLBIA has highly as most and put it on some untouchable pedestal doesn't mean my entire taste is skewed and I like shit like PAITM!
My top 10 is something like the below, which I imagine is very similar to a lot of peoples. I'm not trying to be a hipster (I still love Wonderwall!) but DLBIA isn't my cup of tea
Live Forever Champagne Supernova Slide Away Some Might Say The Masterplan Gas Panic! Stand By Me Acquiesce Don't Go Away Wonderwall

Stay Young definitely is.
Don't think Underneath The Sky is that rated by fans anyway.

The album version of Cigarettes & Alcohol. The production on that is incredibly shit and tinny.
Born on a Different Cloud, Waiting for the Rapture (album version), Talk Tonight
BOADC is a bit boring to me, WFTR is incredibly derivative but alright, and Talk Tonight is good but I don't think it's as good as some people make it out to be. However, I do appreciate the story behind the song, that is quite nice.

It's a great song and one that deserves the acclaim it gets, but it's not the best Oasis song (that title goes to DLBIA, Live Forever, or Champagne Supernova; depending on who you are).

This thread is funny. The only good answer is "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", of course.

Champagne Supernova is underrated round the fans here. it is a MONSTER. we've just heard it so many times.. I genuinely think Champagne Supernova is a top 20 song of all time. It’s perfection, in my opinion.

Not so much nowadays but I think 15 years ago The Masterplan was overrated in a way that I don’t think it would ever be considered a top 3 oasis song for anyone without Noel proclaiming it being maybe his best work.
Good song mind

Easy. It’s Columbia, Some Might Say, Acquiesce and Gas Panic. No doubt.

Definitely Slide Away for me. It's a nice song, I can listen to it, but it just never hit me emotionally like it seems to have done with other people.
Also, can't believe I said I hated Roll With it a few years ago in this thread! I like that song quite a bit now.

The most overrated....its a tough one but Im going to go for The Masterplan. Its a great song that I like, but it seems to be regarded as Noels best ever, and personally i dont think it is.
Another contender was Supersonic, which i think has become overrated because it was a single, and their iconic “first hit”. To me its good, but not really a highlight of DM. Lyrically i find it can't decide if it wants to be a statement song like Cigs & Alcohol, or a silly spontaneous tune like Shakermaker.
