Actually looks not terrible. I enjoyed it. So I guess Robin is confirmed as well, or at least Jason Todd/Red Hood.

Watched it earlier and is why I fucking hate trailers! If everything isn't given away in this one it's going to be two hours of introducing new characters who get 10 minutes of screen time each just to build up to a bigger threat for a lead up to Justice League.
Sometimes a big reveal is to get people interested, but c'mon! With Batman in it people will be flocking to cinemas after Nolan's run. Now we have major plot twists revealed, big action sequences ruined for the first time and a general outline of how the story is going to go.
FFS DC!
I'm just going to download a decent copy whenever one comes out instead of going now. Must stick to my own rule of only ever watching the first released trailer of films I want to see
edit: and Lex Luthor!! Fucking hell!!

I'm considering not even wasting my money to go and watch this. Oh well at least we got Deadpool this year which is already one of my favourite comic book films.

What a huge disappointment. Think I'll stick to my thoughts in a few posts above and wait for the download judging by these reviews Its pretty much what you expected it to be. But you should go and watch it anyway, its still a good looking blockbuster. Its just not the batman v. superman movie that everybody wanted. More like "hey lets squezze every fucking superhero in this movie so we dont need to do a stand alone movie for everybody and we can already start the justice league". Having said that the first hour is really good, zack snyder just lost the plot after that. Cant say anything without spoilers though.

You can't really spoil it. Anyone who has watched the trailer basically knows the whole film. But there is something at the very end that really made me mad. I'll probably wait for it to come out on DVD. There are a lot of people who are mad about this film and even having not seen it there complaints about the director have a feeling of de ja vous.

Because most of them havent read the comic. Its the most accurate movie adaption of any comic. Many people hoped that zack snyder would do the same with batman v. superman which based on the dark knight returns novel which is one of the best out there. But obviously he didnt. I gotta say the first hour of batman v. superman made MoS even better because you get to see the whole fight out of bruce wayne perspective which is really good. But as i said after the first hour everything feels rushed and lazy. Same problem with the avengers movies, too many super heroes. I hope civil war will be better.

I must really like that film because I haven't read the Watchmen but thought the film was excellent. Ahh I might go and see it then. I thought the first Civil War trailer was rubbish but the second gave me some hope. AoU was nothing more than decent, there was no heart to it I didn't really feel anything for it

Its hit and miss with zack snyder. I mean he directed watchmen my favourite comic movie of all time. I watched it before I read the comic, thought it was a hot mess. I watched it after I read and loved the comic, thought it was a bigger hot mess. It's like a lot of Snyder's films, visually stunning, but so many weaknesses. Much of the cast I'm not a fan of. I think they took witty caricatures, and just made them into caricatures. At times it's way too comic-like in my opinion (Snyder does nothing interesting with the source material), which doesn't translate too well to film. Some bits that are supposed to be funny, fall flat for me, like the sex scene between Nite OWL and Silk Spectre (cringe worthy to say the least). I'm also not a fan of the use of music in the film. All-in-all the film is a visual masterpiece, wrapped in a hot mess of a representation (some things never change). My fear with Batman v. Superman has continually been the fact that Snyder is at the helm. My fear with Justice League is that Snyder is at the helm. In my opinion, through Watchmen, Legend of the Guardians, Sucker Punch, Man of Steel, and Batman v Superman, Snyder has continually shown himself to be an incomplete director, continually wrapped in the visuals, while ignore the other mechanization within a film that make the film. He's a guy with a very expensive camera who only cares about how to work the camera.

He's a guy with a very expensive camera who only cares about how to work the camera. I disagree. Watchmen is the closest you can get to a perfect graphic novel adaption besides Sin City. I even think he did a great job by pulling off a slightly better end to the story than the original. You really cant blame him for staying true to the source material because thats how everybody wanted Watchmen to see on screen. And the fact that he was allowed to do so, a 130mio R-rated comic adaption, without the need to please a bigger audience is very rare these days. The first scene alone is a visual masterpiece. The colours, the angles, the slow motion its all perfect. Thats how to do it. Its frame by frame the graphic novel and i love him for doing so. Anyway, i agree with you last part and batman v. superman proved a lot of your points to be true. Hes not a complete director. But he was the perfect man to do watchmen.

You like the dark knight rises? Way better than BvS.... Just came out of the theatres. Yikes that was messy. They should stay clear of Batman because everything will look so lame compared to Nolan's trilogy which is incredible.

Not going to read through this thread because I want to avoid spoilers really, I just want to know from someone who's actually seen this, IS the film actually worth watching?
I'd definitely say the Dark Knight trilogy are some of my all time favourite films. Other than that though I'm not really a veteran when it comes to Batman and I've not seen a Superman film in my entire life.

The movie is entertaining enough while watching. Its only once you think about the plot that things start really falling apart. Zach Snyder is an excellent visual director...
