Best thread in a long time! According to a fb comment the photo was taken on Devonshire Mews which is walking distance to ignition but not around the corner. I can find no recording studios on that street although Air Edel studio is nearby. So I think a playback (of demos) is most likely at this point. But in all honesty I think he already finished recording some stuff way back - remember the NME article when he said he'd finished Revolution Song (from sotsog sessions)? There was no other info on that at all. Mentioned mid tour. No one knew he'd been in a studio or anything. So he could secretly have some stuff finished already. Here's hoping -) Noel was at the Ignition,I found the guy who took the picture  On Twitter? I found a guy who retweeted the photo but couldn't find the original post and poster. Any link? |

Noel has played some demos to Marcus Noel has gone to LA to work on these with Sardy There is going to be a different vibe to his new stuff Noel had 'Frosties' for breakfast when he was a kid  |

Wow, Noel gets pictured in LA and he MUST be working on something?  He was pictured with Russell Brand and Paul Weller. So I guess that says Weller will be playing on the new album with Brand conducting the orchestra??? |

I don't think anyone's saying for certain that Noel's working on something, but there's a great likelihood. First he's seen outside Ignition in London with a synth (and unless Noel's gone back to being a roadie in his off-time, I can't imagine why else he'd be carrying around an instrument like that!). Then he's in LA, where we know Dave Sardy works. So put two and two together, and it doesn't seem all that crazy.  Also, Russell is often in the States because of his show Brand X, isn't he? Plus he's going to be on his Messiah Complex tour soon. And that picture was with Morrissey, not Weller (unless there's another photo I'm unaware of??). Morrissey was on tour but cancelled a bunch of South American gigs because he was ill, wasn't he? Anyway, it's not strange that Noel's hanging out with his good friends...and possibly recording at the same time  Besides the two pictures of Noel with the synth, and the one below (that Russell put on his Twitter and was then shared on Facebook), are there any others out there?  |

I agree that if Noel is in LA it's for a reason. I don't thinks he's just gone of vacation. Russell is based in LA still as far as I know. But he was just in the UK like a week ago so Noel wouldn't have gone there for a visit or anything. I think Morrissey is there on Russell's invitation so I don't imagine it means any sort of involvement with Noel's project. Apparently he and Russ are friendly. Russell's famously a massive fan but apparently Moz has been to multiple stand-up gigs and they email each other as well. |
