The picture of him in the studio with the guitar, if it was done this month at least, it's not the best news actually. It could mean that he's recording guitar tracks and that means he's still working on songs and the album is way before mastering.

Usually it takes like half a year from the end of the recording sessions to the final release. It's the most annoying thing in the world that the whole process takes so long, but the reality is that Noel probably is now testing which guitar he will use to record the intro to the first song...And he's still not sure if he's going to use that song or not. He has to go for another holidays to think about it.

The worst thing is that he has all rights to do it like that. We can't call the Police and report that the guy is recording an album for 3 years. He can even hold a press conference, announce an album and year later say:
"What album ? Oh that one, i'm sorry i didn't like it enough, i threw it away "

I'm friends with Brian Cannon. He's currently working on the artwork for the Morning Glory remaster which will be out later this year.  He is also doing the artwork for the second solo album which Noel has confirmed will only be released in 2015.

That's disappointing. That Noel likes to take his sweet ol' time.

I'm happy to wait til early 2015 for the album. But I would like a summer or autumn single just to keep us going til the album drops and give us a flavour of what the album might sound like.
