If Noel produced the album wouldn't all the songs be stripped back? Not sure I'd like that. It's definitely not stripped back in the bare bones acoustic way - we saw a picture with him and Wired Strings recently, so he's recording strings for it. But an even bigger worry is that he was mainly behind the production of Heathen Chemistry. Although I blame that album purely on songwriting terms.

If Noel produced the album wouldn't all the songs be stripped back? Not sure I'd like that. I don't see why it would have to be. I'm sure others would still play on it and someone else would ultimately engineer it after all creative decisions were made. Personally, I wouldn't mind a stripped back album, but I doubt Noel would do it. IMO, while Heathen Chemistry's production is pretty inconsistent, it's still less physically painful to listen to than DBTT. Sardy improved with DOYS, but he was back to his old ways for the most part on NGHFB.

I have a feeling that Dave Sardy is producing Noel's album since Brian Cannon didn't answer if Dave Sardy's producing the album.
God bless.

Sorry for my ignorence, but who the fuck is Michael Bowler? Apparently he's the one who made the early oasis logo and the artwork for the early oasis albums and singles. He met noel on a lift in manchester in 1993, were noel gave him the job to design their artwork "when" they get signed. Would love me some early 90s oasisish artwork for the new album. The last one was dull!

Where was it posted that the album wasn't gonna be released until next year? I still think Noel will drop it this year randomly as a surprise!

Think it's the logical reason to drop all remasters this year and celebrate Morning Glory while we're at it, it means Noel has a clear diary for all things High Flying Birds in 2015.
So, looking more likely of a release at the start of next year. Wish it was this year though, but might give him a bit more time to work on the album.
He mulled over High Flying Birds songs for quite a while - e.g. he took demos on holiday with him and would listen to them time and again.
And the end results were brilliant I say.... just wish he had done that with latter Oasis albums - 'actually guys, all your songs are shit, I'll write the entire album'.

I've got the feeling Sardy isn't producing this time you might be right.... both of the pics Brian Cannon posted yesterday were said to be taken in London; it's been mentioned around here that Dave Sardy works mostly in L.A. God bless.

Come On Outside and The Dying of the Light must be on the album

God bless. That's what I was thinking about, he recorded the strings at Abbey Road, so it could be he's working there I seriously doubt it would be like the last time when he recorded it and then went to Sardy

You might be familiar with the Oasis Mania page on Facebook. They're making a lot of references to November eg. "NGFHB : NOVEMBER Gallaghers High Flying Birds" - basically throwing hints right at us. They also posted this photo from Brian Cannon, "Noel working on new album" or something to that effect. Attachments:

Oasis Mania is the biggest and most famous Oasis fanpage on Facebook Exactly, although being solely fan-based there's no official input - so we can't really take the whole November thing too seriously until more information arrives.
