I'm usually only a FIFA man but have fallen in love with Skyrim on the ps3. Any other fantasy rpg games worth checking out? Thanks. I have Fable II and III and they're pretty good, although I've never actually played Skyrim so not really sure if they're comparable. Edit: Just realised Fable is for Xbox only so probably not much use to you assuming you only have a PS3

Been playing the original Halo on PC this week. It was an epic that still holds up in my opinion, hopefully the next gen Halo games are on PC as well, I'm sticking with Sony console-wise.
Also started play Super Mario 3 on NES. Probably the most fun and entertaining games I've ever played. It's a shame that Nintendo seem to just stick with a formula for their long running series', this was a massive step up from it's predecessors.

Halo was one of my "Childhood" games lol, played the remake of it with my friend a couple months ago and its still one of my favorite games. Been meaning to get Halo CE and Halo 2 for my laptop.
I've been playing Payday 2 Beta today, awesome, looking forward to the full release, it'd be so much better if I had the internet to play it online though. Still have 15+ games from the Steam Summer Sales I haven't even loaded up yet.
Oh yeah by the way @bigevil you died in my XCOM game, you died saving Vancouver and the rest of the team. You did good. You did good.

I used to play a lot about 3-4 years ago, I don't play that much anymore. When I do, I usually go for some of the older classics - GTA Vice City, CS 1.6, Far Cry, Painkiller, Mafia, Max Payne 2, or one of my all-time favorites XIII(not a lot of people know about this one, but I definitely recommend it). I also played a lot of games on my PS2 which I'm still convinced is the best console ever made. Among my favorites are Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, all the GTAs, Eye Toy, Tekken Tag Tournament and many more. I don't care very much for the new games, most of them are ''overfilled'' with too many possibilites, if you know what I mean. Some of the newer games that caught my attention were Assassin's Creed II and GTA IV, which were really awesome. And of course, as a hardcore fan, I can't wait for the new GTA V

I love the Assassin's Creed games, with Assassin's Creed 2 probably being my favourite in terms of storyline. Looking forward to the new one coming out later in the year.

Same here, I'm downloading AC 2 on Xbox live's new free download, to replay it, such a great game. AC 3 was fun to play in that the combat, exploration mechanics and graphics are now so polished that it's a joy to play, but the story wasn't half dull imo. I hope Black Flag can deliver, it does look really promising so far though

Another thing I hated about AC3 was the homestead missions, if you didn't do them at the right times or in the right order then there was no way to do them again and you basically had to restart your game if you wanted to do them properly. I was watching the trailers and gameplays for Black Flag the other day and it looked pretty cool and I like how they're implementing and improving the naval battles which I thought were great fun (but fucking frustrating) and some of the best parts on AC3.

Yeh, totally agree. The double counter animations on AC 3 were so good I found myself not bothering with trying to play it stealthy at all because the combat was so easy and just button-mashing fun, but as you say Conor wasn't too great tbh, he peaked too soon I think. I enjoyed the scenes with him as a child finding his village burnt down and that but by the last few sequences he lost steam and pretty fast. Edward seems to be a bit of ladies man like Ezio and also a bit of a badass like Altaïr Have you seen the new pictures of the modern day part of the game?

Yeah combat was amazing on AC3, thought it played a bit like the the Batman Arkham games which is good because I love them as well. No I haven't seen anything about the modern parts of Black Flag, is there anything out there?

Yeh, the combat in AC3 and the Batman games is amazing, just a couple of buttons, almost arcade-like but it's great fun alright. Are you gonna get the new Batman game? I don't have much enthusiasm for it tbh although Arkham City was a brilliant game this just seems a little dull. Love the little models of previous Creed characters on the desk Apparently you play as just some employee of Abstergo and you've been told to research Edward Kenway. This is kind of a relief, the story with Desmond's dad and all that needed a rest I think

Yeah they were dragging the modern day story a bit, probably best to freshen it up. Probably will get the new Batman game just because of how good the previous ones were. I'm sure the new voice actors will do a great job but it's not going to be the same without Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill.

There's a 500gb GTA V ps3 slim bundle now for 270$. I'm tempted to sell my old fat ps3 and get that tbh.

Don't play consols anymore which is probably a good thing considering the amount of time spent on them as a teenager. The orignal Playstation was my heyday. Recently parted with FF VII on ebay unwillingly as have to clear out space and did not want to throw it away. Tomb Raider 2 was the first big introduction to the PS and the Die Hard Trilogy game was maybe the first one I played on the console. My evolution was Mega Drive > PS1 > PS2. Mates had other consoles and regular swaps in school for a week or so to play different games not available. Standout games were Sonic, NHL, FIFA (Mega Drive, early PS), FF VII, Tomb Raiders, Gran Trismo 2, Tekken 3, Tiger Woods (06?) and favourite game ever Resident Evil 2! I say I went through hundreds of games over the years. Play FIFA tournaments the odd times with the lads, have a wii in the house but only play Bubble Bobble(!) or Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles on it.
