They are at the top of my list of bands to see live that I haven't seen yet . I hope they come my way.

Arcade Fire's new album could be called 'Reflektor'.
A circular graphic containing letters spelling out 'Reflektor', which you can see above, has appeared in cities around the world and is being collected by fans on an Instagram page. A video of the same image was also shown at Lollapalooza in Chicago this weekend and appears on a new website TheReflektors.com. Speculation is mounting that it could be a viral marketing campaign for the forthcoming new Arcade Fire album. As Consequence of Sound reports, "at least two different street artists" have claimed their work is part of a campaign for Arcade Fire. www.thereflektors.com/ www.nme.com/news/arcade-fire/71856

Arcade Fire previewed new material at a Montreal Salsa club last night
Ahead of Monday’s big reveal, Arcade Fire previewed their new album at a surprise show in Montreal last night. According to Montreal’s The Main, it took place at Salsathèque, as in Salsathèque, Montreal’s local Salsa club. Accordingly, dancing was encouraged during the short set, which “was unexpectedly dance-oriented, due to the upbeat rhythms of conga drums and electronic flourishes alongside their most poppy sounds.” The Main went on to describe the material as featuring similar themes to the band’s previous releases, though they’ve “traded their somber orchestral sound for something more contemporary.” One song featured “various musical directions and sudden tempo changes, sandwiched between the boisterous repeated choruses of ‘Here comes the night’”. They continued, saying, “Imagine the Talking Heads’ ‘Once in a Lifetime’, but if David Bowie had written it while on vacation.” In more news (since the last time we spoke this afternoon), Arcade Fire’s website now features a map pinpointing the various locations where their new single will be available for purchase on September 9th. As previously reported, the band will accompany the song’s release with a video directed by Anton Corbijn. Arcade Fire’s fourth studio album arrives October 29th via Merge. consequenceofsound.net/2013/09/arcade-fire-previewed-new-material-at-a-montreal-salsa-club-last-night/

I mean they're adoptive hometown of Montreal. They have never been considered an American band, they have always been from Montreal

pretty great way to comeback. I love Funeral and The Suburbs. Could never get into Neon Bible, but this new one has me excited. James Murphy's fingerprints are all over this new single. I love it. I had the chance to see them live at a festival and they are amazing. Euphoric.

heard the new song the other day and wasn't that impressed but i also wasn't in a real shiny and happy mood, so.....listened to it yesterday and after i moved to it it really made me wanna freaky deaky.
the cool thing to say these days is 'production' but it really is well produced. the version i heard was low quality and it still sounded pretty good.
God bless.

It's AMAZING - all my favourite bands, I've never really got to experience them at their ultimate peak, but I feel priveleged to do so with Arcade Fire. Out of all the major artists in the world at the minute, they are the guiding light to take us away from the drivel that dominates the charts these days. It seems fitting then that such great modern music has that genius of yesteryear featured - none other than David Bowie.
