Yeah, I thought the Olympics performance was really good, it gave me goosebumps. My mom, who is not a fan of Oasis at all, said at the end of it that he was the best musical act of the night!

Loads of the others mimed that night as well, just to emphasise that point.

the olympics vocal while sounding really 'youthful' was really bad

I thought the vocals didn't sound far off the original recording on (what's the story) morning glory? considering it was recorded almost 20 years earlier and therefore liam has aged 20 years it sounded about right.

Very true glad beady eye agreed to doing it. As Noel said "I'm glad somebody did it, if they hadn't done it they would have got fucking Keane to do it or something. At least it was Liam and the lads, I was cool with it" To be fair Oasis was a burnt out shell towards the end, too much bad blood, if they are going to come back do it when the time's right and do what david bowie did and return with new material don't rely on nostalgia.

Anyone who think Liam sounds worse now than ever is a fucking idiot. End of! The Blackpool vocals and most other he produced at the end of the last BE tour were fucking great "This aint a coldplay gig sweetheart, or a U2 concert"

It's sickening. Like slagging a war veteran off for not being so great these days. You wouldn't do that. At least he still puts everything into it. When you look at what he did in the past, damaging himself so we could have performances like below, plus countless more

Liam isn't a war veteran, before people flag that one up.

If Liam didn't sing with the larynx, now he should sound like in 95

I get a bit sick of people saying "well noels voice is still good" the big difference between noel and liam is while in oasis noel mostly did backing vocals while liam sung the majority of the setlist for almost 20 years liam's voice has done A LOT more mileage than Noels.

Noel also sounded like shit when singing lead for the majority of his early career and really only hit his vocal stride during the DBTT era. Listen to some of his early recordings or concerts, when Liam was at full throttle...HE sounds nasally as fuck. Good thing his voice aged well!
