It goes well when combined with FOTF though and I'd rather a good solid album for me personally than killer singles and the album to be filled with dross. This, it seems BE will be quite a solid output of good songs with maybe none of the brilliance of Four Letter Word and hopefully none of the dreadful SOTEOTN-type songs

Listened to it 3 or 4 times on my lunch. It definitely grew on me but I don't think it will ever be a classic. Does anyone else think musically it sounds REALLY like Shoot You Down by Stone Roses during the verses? If I'm being honest I'm getting a little worried about 'BE' now.

I never really expected anything after DGSS so any good tunes are a bonus and if the album fails then I'll just go back to listening to oasis, weller, bowie and the beatles... Personally, I think this album will be pretty good...

You strip away the production and the song itself is fairly average. Looks like Sitek has done an amazing job with the production on this album, really nice to hear Liam and co experimenting a bit more with their sound. Has the trademark 'retro' character but yet sounds really fresh. Kind of proves to me that Noel needs to experiment more in his choice of producer, as much as I love Dave Sardy I really think Noels music would benefit from another producer with their own ideas.

Sounds mega. I think most of you are severly misguided and would have labeled Supersonic and Shakermaker as not being "single material" upon their first release. I'm not even sure why you post on this board. You continually find fault in every release, yet offer no blueprint as to what might actually satisfy your finicky pallate. Above and beyond, who really cares about singles anyway? Certainly not the discerning music fan.

The emphasis that most posters on this board put on sales and commercial success is nothing short of vulgar.

Personally, I think this album will be pretty good... same here. liked the song on first listen, then had a listen to it again earlier and have to say i like it even more than FOTF. sounds very different to anything from DGSS which is a good thing. might not be amazing or jaw dropping, but personally i think that even if they had of come out with a song as good as live forever, supersonic etc there'd still be people complaining on here.

I like the song a lot. Nice surprise. Am I the only one who thinks the parts where the horns come in are a bit of a sonic clusterfuck production-wise?

It's definitely not in the class of Flick Of The Finger and I think you're right, for me personally I don't think I'll grow to love it anytime soon.

The emphasis that most posters on this board put on sales and commercial success is nothing short of vulgar. I think people's concern is that unless the album sells reasonably well, the future of Beady Eye may be uncertain. Having a quality single get good airplay will help promote and drive album sales (which will drive ticket sales, t-shirt sales etc) and put the band in a good position for the future.

I understand that and obviously hope Beady Eye do well but the first reaction of a lot of people on here seems to be whether it's will sell or get played on the radio as opposed to whether it is a good song. At the end of the day it should be about the music and how it makes you feel; not about how many units it sells and if Radio 1 decide to play it or not.

With the promise to play Oasis tunes, I don't think Beady Eye will have issue selling out venues this year. In fact, I think they might have to upgrade to larger ones. So that will be good money. People will see Beady Eye just to hear old Oasis tunes. But I think they should have picked one of their strongest songs for the lead single to help promote the album, drive sales and secure a future for more albums. But with SBOTA, I fear it will turn fans and new listeners away.

Really starting to like it now. Woke up this morning and this is the first thing I listened to on my iPod when I was walking to class and it made me feel good and got me ready for the day. Guess that's what the Gallagher brothers' music is all about

It's an embarrassment. The world is going to laugh at them, hate to say it. The world likes Dubstep and gave One Direction a career, fuck the world.

Listened to it once. It's alright. Not amazing and doesn't you away like Four Letter Word did, but it's not bad either imo.

I gotta be honest, this is pretty awful, If I heard this on the radio by another band, I would turn it off right away, some of you people are far too blinded by your love of Liam and your hope that he might actually sing on a song worth listening to one of these days. This song lacks a decent hook, has no verses whatsoever, the music is muddled and Liam sounds awful. There is no energy in his delivery, in fact the only Gem written song that Liam sings on that he got right was Eyeball Tickler and this is very far removed from that. I'm sorry I feel this way I would have loved to have been blown away by this like I used to be by Liam all those years ago.
