Also I see their album covers every time I pass by a music shop. Here's what they sound like. Like I said alot of people like them but their music puts me to sleep.

It was mostly sarcasm, but to me Sgt. Peppers is vastly overrated as well. thank you!! i thought i was the only one? to me, abbey road IS and always will be the greatest beatles album. I totally respect the effort of doing it stereo, and trying different things and all, but there are some serious low points on Sgt. Peppers for me. I listen to Beatles For Sale and Abbey Road most often I think.

Beatles is definitely one of the weakest beatles albums.

Promised myself I wouldn't listen to a clip but curiosity got the bloody better of me. Anyone else think that the chorus on ''Second Bite'' sounds like the Stereophonics? I don't know if that's a good thing. Yeah, the chorus of Second Bite reminds me of the mid-8 of Moviestar by Stereophonics. Which is a good thing imo (at 1 min 58 sec)

I never got this "us vs. them" mentality for music. Even in Oasis' prime in the mid 90s, it didn't stop me from listening to Blur. There is room for all when it comes to music if you want it to be so. Too many follow the Gallagher beliefs TOO strongly. There are many great bands out there other than Kasabian and the Arctic Monkeys. Exactly, everyone is entitled to like more than one band or genre. But that is an alien concept to some. Apparently if you like Chris Martin you're a loser. Wow People seem to forget Noel and Chris are good mates. I don't believe Liam has anything against him either, just the occasional jokey remark. People should lighten up. Coldplay are an undoubtedly talented band. Over rated as hell but Parachutes, parts of A Rush of Blood, a handful of tracks off Mylo and 1 or 2 tracks off Viva La Vida are great

They are the lyrics I've worked out, not sure about ''world'' and ''soon'' but the rest is spot on. It's "looking for sin" not "looking for soon"

Haha yeah. I don't consider myself a fan of Coldplay but overall I don't mind them and like a bit of their stuff every now and then. Gotta say the most boring band I've heard recently is the xx but alot of people like them so of course...opinion ?? Fill me in no clue. Serious Don't care much for new shit hence why dig out your soul is last " new album" I bought If you haven't heard Jake Bugg transform your life Only 18 and his album recently went to #1 in the UK. If you like the Gallaghers you'll enjoy him. Noel digs him apparently.

That kinda sums it up for me. All of their albums are listen-able and I don't get why so many people hate them because they're boring. I get if you're not into their music (ex. I can never get into Arctic Monkeys) but they do have some good stuff if you like that pop/soft rock sorta thing. Even if you don't like their change of sound Mylo Xyloto was a good pop album. I've seen them live, they're a decent band. When it comes to hating on popular bands, I'll leave that for Nickelback. See Teal it's not so much that I hate them cause there boring. It's just that there boring , and most oasis supporters treat oasis like a football team ...very passionately It's hard to get worked up over a Coldplay concert or song , they are as ash & debris just said like background music ... To me that's doesn't spur passion ya know ? I don't hate them. But I do find them boring and they don't inspire to me to follow them , there biggest cheerleader here was probably the most boring , art house person ever on a forum .i won't say who , cause then ill be talking about someone who ain't here anymore britishlove knows of who I speak .... But they are the anti oasis to me , no passion , no spark , jmo. And your welcome to yours Edit : dev I know you two got along , I am not mentioning name. But he was very artsy and not in your way ,, we were oil and water and he worshipped Coldplay. So he is the perfect example to me of why I don't like most of there passionless work. IMO of course I liked Coldplay up to X&Y...and Chris Martin did put me on his guest list when I met him in TO, so I have mad respect for the man. Couldn't believe how nice he was in person, and at the end of a long day after a show. Just a classy guy. Plus I like his wife Look at this hair (haha his and mine!) almost 8 years ago...really glad I ditched that hairstyle!

Oh no argument he supposed to be a nice guy , I just never liked except for yellow and a couple others but hey that's what makes horse racing I was reading you and Lennon where you said you like radio head more than oasis now .... It's taste I respect taste , don't agree but that's cool thing about music . Great pic dev

That's how i started talking to him...I told him he could use a haircut...ha, I might have been on my third cosmo at that point, so I was feeling a little ostentatious! Castle is the one who took that picture!! We had just finished seeing Oasis on the DBTT tour, and the cabbie that dropped us at the venue told us there was a tour bus parked outside the Soho Hotel...swanky hotel in TO (at least it was 8 years ago)...so we decided it must be Oasis's and that we were finally going to meet Noel or Liam. So after the gig, we raced over to the Soho and ordered some drinks in the empty hotel bar, and in walked Chris and and Johnny Buckland. Castle made me talk to Chris...If he wasn't there, I don't know if I would've ever done it!!

I love Coldplay, simply because the melodies are amazing. Chris Martin is up there with some great melodists, like Noel and Paul McCartney, though not as impressive as those two. But I totally dig the band, there's some really interesting tunes digging around there, like I Ran Away, Cemeteries of London, Spies - ones that nobody has really heard of. They really excel at dark tunes in my opinion, but they haven't really been dark for a long long time and their most 'poppy' stuff is good, but nothing more in my opinion. Mylo Xyloto is just not an album I really listen to, despite loving a few tunes (but just a few). They really need to push themselves on the next album though - if they just churn out the mainstream fun loving teen music on the next album, then their time to really impress will have long gone in my opinion. I really hope it's good.
