Hard to tell from a 30 second sample but it doesn't sound great. This entire album is going to be Sitek attempting to polish turds by the sound of things so far. You better watch the Beady eye fanboy's will be on your back. Why would they be? That's the least surprising post in the thread. Going to the wait until I hear the whole thing but I like Sitek's style so far.

Second Bite of The Apple reminds me of Standing On The Edge of The Noise there. It's that bad. This album is shaping up to be even worse than the first. This post you just posted is shaping up to be even worse than your other posts

Liam needs to stop being horribly nasal on certain words. Almost like he's doing it to make sure his voice still has it's own identity. Prefer 2005 voice to this.

That, quite simply, is the worst thing anybody associated with the Oasis name has put out. Fucking woeful. It's just a shit ripoff of 5:15 by The Who. Even in a 30 second clip, there is some interesting brass and other sounds that just aren't the usual meat and two veg guitars you'd expect with BE/Oasis.

Not got an opinion of SBoTA. Didn't blow me away but it's only 30 seconds.
If the B-side is Start Anew backwards I'm more interested in Start Anew. Very pretty melody.
As it's own tune not interested at all thought.
But hard to tell anything from 30 seconds though.

Yes, I am aware it is traditionally bad form to respond to any kind of BE criticism or negativity, but in this, as with all else, I am an innovator, therefore I may freely address you as... PISS MIDGET. Still, there's time for you to change your views, and I think you will when we meet, and meet we most assuredly will. When I suck out your eyes and use them as stoppers for my ears to muffle the screams you will make as I headbutt you into a fine paste I do hope you will not be disheartened by your sudden violent death. Yours faithfully, Captain Crunch.

Looks like there is no drums on Dreaming For Some Space. None can be heard in the 30 second clip and on that french site, Chris is listed as player on SBOTA but not on DFSS. That's probably gonna be some mental floaty tune that doesn't change much.

When the DGSS previews came out, people were raving about For Anyone. Point being, you can't know from 30 second snippets.

Hey man, I can understand where the Chris Martin hate is coming from, but I always show people who hate Coldplay this song and sometimes I can get them to say they at least like this song haha check it out

Sounds better than some fucking Chris Martin shite. Hey man, I can understand where the Chris Martin hate is coming from, but I always show people who hate Coldplay this song and sometimes I can get them to say they at least like this song haha check it out They want everyone to like them which makes 88% of the public hate them even more, and they suffer from it. Their problems begin artistically. They have never released the epic album that sets them apart. There is no Dark Side of the Moon in their catalog. There is no Achtung Baby, no Nevermind, no Sgt. Pepper, no OK Computer, no Definitely Maybe - they can’t match the best 4 albums of R.E.M.’s catalog from the 1980′s/early 1990′s. A live version of Politik is not gonna change my mind ..sorry.

got to say I kinda agree with The Don (the biggest pussy of this board, probably) anyway. just like three ring circus, we're still over the moon to hear Liam sing a song.. but I just don't look forward anymore to the album. and they've been talking rubbish so much. I loved the Finger one and yeah it's only 30 seconds of 2 songs... but anyway. I won't be listening to these 30 seconds crap aymore. bring on the album. hopefully, songwriting will be good this time around.

Didn't really like SBOTA from the sample at first but after repeat listenings the chorus as really grown on me and I love it. At least it's got a chorus unlike FotF, and a catchy one at that

And on a related note, Andy needs to go back to writing stuff like this: I concur. Andy didn't wrote that one. He wrote Vapour Trail.

Very hard to judge these clips thus far. Second Bite of The Apple sounds just average but the others sound a lot more interesting. That is what I am really liking right now, my interest level with this band keeps rising. I didn't feel that with DGSS.

Andy didn't wrote that one. He wrote Vapour Trail. It was written collaboratively. As Andy wrote the majority of the tracks up to that point, I'd imagine he had a great deal of input. FYI, here's a list of songwriting credits for the first two Ride albums: Chelsea Girl (Words:Mark, Music:Everyone, from an idea by Steve) Drive Blind (Words and Music:Andy) All I Can See (Words and Music:Mark) Close My Eyes (Words and Music:Andy) Like A Daydream (Words and Music:Andy) Silver (Words and Music:Andy) Furthest Sense (Words:Mark?, Music:Everyone?) Perfect Time (Words:Mark, Music:Everyone) Seagull (Words and Music:Andy) Kaleidoscope (Words and Music:Andy) In A Different Place (Words and Music:Andy) Polar Bear (Words and Music:Andy) Dreams Burn Down (Words and Music:Andy) Decay (Words and Music:Mark) Paralysed (Words and Music:Andy) Vapour Trail (Words and Music:Andy) Taste (Words:Mark, Music:Everyone, from an idea by Steve) Here and Now (Words and Music:Andy) Nowhere (Words:Loz, Music:Everyone, from an idea by Andy) Unfamiliar (Words:Mark, Music:Everyone?) Sennen (Words:Andy, Music:Everyone?) Beneath (Words:Andy, Music:Everyone?) Today (Words:Andy, Music:Everyone?) Leave Them All Behind (Words:Mark, Music:Everyone) Chrome Waves (Words and Music:Andy) Grasshopper (Everyone) Twisterella (Words:Mark, Music:Everyone) Not Fazed (Words and Music:Andy) Mouse Trap (Words:Mark, Music:Everyone) Time Of Her Time (Words and Music:Andy) Cool Your Boots (Words and Music:Andy) Making Judy Smile (Words and Music:Andy) Time Machine (Words and Music:Mark?) 0X4 (Words:Mark, Music:Steve) Going Blank Again (Words and Music:Andy) Howard Hughes (Words and Music:Andy) Stampede (Words and Music:Mark)

What the shit is going on in that second track? Not sure I want to hear Liam sing backwards for 2 minutes. Still buying it, but, you know...

xo0oo0ox Yeah. My point was that I like Ride's music. Regardless of who got main writing cred for each individual song, Andy was in that band and it's good stuff.
