It always used to be a Tuesday release when I bought them regularly. The last one I bought was for the Dig Out Your Soul release though so may have changed

Do you think Liam kicked off big time when they said he'd have to wear the astronaut costume? I bet he went fucking mental!

Do you think Liam kicked off big time when they said he'd have to wear the astronaut costume? I bet he went fucking mental! You know eppy The Liam of 94-2004 or 05 I would agree with you one thousand percent geezer But this Liam is not that Liam anymore he strategically gets photographed drinking befor single re Eases and album releases gets " thrown out of pubs " . Before single leaks And people want to think , hope , he still the madferit lad ,,( we see it here when news of that breaks ) but when there is no single or lp releases he is endorsing pretty green and laying pretty low ... I think the lad has grown up and knows the last lp had mediocre reviews and sales and now the businessman Liam knows he gotta do what he gotta do to promotea lp that will need promoting ...and Noel ain't around to do it ya know ? I am not a team Noel or team Liam guy I thank god I wasnt here for that crap So it's a unbiased view here ,, I think Liam is clever he has grown. And he knows its his time to step up if wearing a moon suit to promote is involved so be it .... Now the Liam of the 90 s. your spot on . IMO. And no knock on you as you know

''Liam Gallagher is promising the second Beady Eye album will be the most "experiment" he's ever been involved with - and its sonic innovation will make his brother Noel jealous.
Speaking in our new issue, Q319 out now, he gives Q the latest on his bands new record, admitting they have some work do after the disappointment of their debut.
"It was done off the back of Oasis, it wasn't progressive enough, it hadn't moved on," declares the singer.
"There were good moments but it just didn't connect. This one, people might hate it too but it's no so stuck in its '60s rut. Obviously there's Lennon vibes in there but we've turned it on its head. Not that the pressure's on or anything but it's a really important record for me. If no one buys it, it's back to the drawing board. So we'll see. I'm prepared for whatever."
The Beady Eye leader also added that his "sad" looking brother Noel "won't be happy when he hears we've done an out-there record that we're going to fucking release before him".''

Noel isn't the goal, good music is.

Noel isn't the goal, good music is. I think he's covered that in what he said before and in other articles. To suggest that they have tried to put an album out before Noel (knowing he is on a break for a while anyway) rather than make it good is a bit silly. Like it or loathe it, its pretty clear they have worked hard to try and create something of quality.

If you've made and worked hard on a good album, then it's a bit silly to continuously mention Noel. Isn't it? Just sayin. If you're leaving Oasis behind, then leave Noel behind and try to mention him as least as possible.

Exactly if anything this album has constantly been pushed back to get right rather than rushed to get it out before noel I'm not saying they rushed an album, please read. What I'm saying that it's a bit silly to say, we release something before Noel. There's no real reason to say that. Just promote your own album. The one you worked hard on.

Every interviewer will want a juicy quote from him re: noel to put on their front cover / a bigger font in the article. They are gonna bait him to say stuff then twist it that's what they do.

I think the idea that he always goes on about it of his own accord is wrong or certainly that's what some seem to believe. Now he could either become a 'no comment' man or one who deflects the question all the time or he can just answer with whatever is in his head at the time. For better or for worse I prefer the latter. He can never really leave Noel behind the press won't allow him and more than that they are brothers. Look at all the other big band splits down the years. This is not really anything new. That's not to say I agree or like some of the things that he say's about Noel but it is what it is.

Yea, Liam's 40 years old. How long has he been doing interviews? To be honest, I agree with kalas. People chalk up too many of Liam's quotes to the evil interviewer tricking him or Liam as the inexperience non press savvy guy who when he gets bombarded by Noel questions he automatically has to answer back to it or it will be a "no comment". I think he knows how to play the media a lot more than we think. And he's not the "naive" rock star, but a much more intelligent guy who knows that he gets bigger headlines when he makes Noel quotes. He's been doing it for too long, and it happened to him too much during the DGSS promotion, for him to be completely oblivious to what a Noel quote does for him in terms of attention. I think he's a much more intelligent guy when it comes to the press than people give him credit for. In many ways he's just as intelligent as Noel when it comes to the press. It seems like people excuse him, while dumbing him down at the same time. Call me crazy, but Liam is clearly not an idiot and not a newbe when it comes to the press.

Exactly ,you both make really good points , my only assertion is Liam plays up the lad , thick as brick routine in general only during promotion time .... Don't know if he is as intelligent as Noel , but. Do know he is not the as thick as he portrays himself to be , he knows exactly when to dumb down He is no rocket scientist thank god. But he ain't thick only plays one to the press when promoting himself or his band .

No one is saying he is 'oblivious' but he wear's his heart on his sleeve and if he is consistently asked about something that hurt him he going to say something about it, whether that is wrong or right its up to the reader to decide.
Spaneli you weren't saying he was as media savvy as Noel a year ago. You are saying it now because it suits you.
