matt - agree with your 2nd sentence 100%, but just can't agree with the 1st though. Give me Oasis worst album over any Radiohead album, all day long. This.

Give all of In Rainbows a try, if you liked Ok Computer then there's no reason you shouldn't like it. HTTF has some fillers but some stellar tracks as well. Try Sail to the moon, where I end you begin, A punch up at a wedding and wolf at the door.

God bless.

"I resemble a rat" ~ Thom Yorke I like Radiohead but I'd listen to 'Giants' over 'Kid A' all fucking day long. It's a fuckin' chore to listen to that record and I don't give a shit about this ''oh it's art, you don't know art''... 90% of it makes my ears bleed. In saying that I love 'OK Computer' and 'The Bends' is brilliant. 'Amnesiac' has 'Pyramid Song' which is one of the most beautiful but frightening songs I've ever heard but again as an album it's atrocious - 'Hail to the Thief' is good but maybe a bit long. Some brilliant songs on there though like 'Go to Sleep (especially live)' 'There There' 'Backdrifts' 'A Punchup at a Wedding' - I like 'In Rainbows' to but I just have to be in a certain mood to listen to Radiohead. It's a cliche to say but my God they are depressing.

Amazing recent, fairly obscure, tracks.
Awesome, awesome, awesome music. Awesome.

One of the things I LOVE about Radiohead is their sense of unity. They have been going strong for over 20 years, no lineup changes or sudden departures. That's awesome. I also love how all the members have side projects that don't take away from the band and no one gets pissed off
- Tom has a solo album and side band.
- Jonny does film soundtracks.
- Ed does DJing.
- Phil has a damn fine solo album.
- Colin does third world charity efforts.

Few bands have such a moment and in my opinion they succeeded big time. One of my favorite albums despite being extremely bleak.

Some Radiohead tracks are bleak, but others are ridiculously energetic. Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Electioneering, There There, Bodysnatchers, The Bends and 2+2=5 instantly spring to mind.

I didn't really get into Kid A at the time, but had an immediate love for Amnesiac. Really under-rated album. Pyramid Song is possibly the best thing they've ever done.
Just took a while longer to connect with Kid A, a true masterpiece.

Yea your right , I just never got them. And need to be depressed to listen. That's why rock s great as I said before you and Lennon2217 know your music. I like to think I do as well. ... Gave them alot of tries just never got it .. The lp Lennon spoke of was cool. Just not for me. Then again I dig bands that others don't get .. Hey I'm off to ride while there's no rain ill check you guys later. Eppy. Good seeing you man. Haven't seen ya in awhile

The part where "the beat goes round and round" kicks in is one of my favorite moments of any song. Check out myxomatosis. Probably my favorite off of Hail to the Thief

Pyramid Song is possibly the best thing they've ever done. Agree about Pyramid Song I remember the day I bought 'Amnesiac' in Cork City, it's about a half hour drive from where I live and my mother was driving. Stuck it on in the car and my mother literally begged me to turn it off or she was gunna through herself out of the car while it was going. Seriously. Very weird and depressing album if you're used to that kinda stuff. But as I said, agree with about 'Pyramid Song' - it's a stunning song.

Fog (both versions), Cuttooth, Amazing Sounds of Orgy and WorryWart.

In my opinion anything on the first four Oasis releases are infinitely superior to anything in Radiohead's magnificent discography.
Definitely Maybe vs Pablo Honey = DM
(What's The Story) Morning Glory? vs The Bends = (WTS) MG?
Be Here Now vs OK Computer = BHN
The Masterplan vs Kid A = TM
Giants and HeaChem get tackled pretty rough but Don't Believe the Truth and DOYS definitely out do those other Radiohead recordings for me personally.
Radiohead are a lot like James Cameron yeah in my opinion a lot of there work gets over praised but they're enjoyable. Oasis are a lot like Francis Ford Coppola; yeah his best work was accomplished early in his career and while his later efforts don't stack up to the early years he can still make a doozy of a film.

Not to mention its 2013 and that website page looks like "Johnny's first blog" circa 1998. Seriously though, I don't get the hate for Thom Yorke and Radiohead. If you don't like their music fair enough, move along. Radiohead hardly do any press, never rip on bands and speak politely when forced to. Pretty hard to hate on that laid back approach. I'm not sure why Noel and Liam have ripped on them so much. They were never really rivals to begin with. At least Noel acknowledges how amazing they are live (I highly recommend everyone to see them at least once). Talk about a band that isn't afraid to try anything. Radiohead set the bar on that one. Noel and Liam could learn a thing or two. Radiohead are educated.......all the members are Oxford graduates - that goes against the Oasis philosophy, i guess... and yeah, Radiohead are fucking awesome live......great presence and interaction with the audience. the show i went to Thom was taking requests from the audience.....whether the song that they then played that was requested was already slotted to be played or not, i dunno but it was still cool that they give an audience a good show. God bless. This is a great live show of theirs...I'm actually watching it right now. I love them, I used to love Oasis more, but not anymore.

A couple of things..... - Why compare a b-sides album from 1998 to an official Radiohead album of 2000? Shouldn't you have compared it to SOTSOG? Also a 2000 release. You did that with Pablo Honey/Definitely Maybe, The Bends/Morning Glory and Ok Computer/Be Here Now. - Fact: Francis Ford Coppola hasn't made a great film since 1983 (The Outsiders). Some might say Oasis hasn't made a great album since 1995. - Radiohead are more like Paul Thomas Anderson or the Coen Brothers.

To be fair to the guy he's much, much better than most. I used to hate Radiohead in my mini-teen Liam clone days (mainly because of their ridiculously pretentious easily butt-hurt fans that infest the internet) but once i gave them a chance I couldn't get enough they're easily in my top 10 bands of all time.

Well said well said. I feel that often on this forum, people stick so hardcore to Liam and Noel's beliefs without ever really trying something first. Glad you love Radiohead now. Music doesn't have to be us vs. them mentality. Leave that to sports.
