On the contrary they've managed to hype it up further. I mean Beady Eye is trending on twitter right now....BEADY EYE! Trending for all the wrong reasons. "I'm so pissed about the lack of a new single from Beady Eye" etc. Is pissing off the fans really a good idea? There's no such thing as bad publicity as they say and it's not like just because they didn't air the single last night that these 'fans' are going to get so pissed that they'll boycott it when it finally comes out. On the contrary it's actually increased the hype and anticipation for the new song.

I was as disappointed as the next bloke, but there are far worse things happening in the world today, so we have to wait two weeks, go listen to Wigwam, we'll all manage

Nice one chief, if waiting two weeks for a song was the worse thing that happened to us today, be fucking thankful

If that American radio station "ruined" their intended PR campaign by playing FOTF a week early, I say screw it. Just release it on iTunes and go let it out to all media outlets. It's 2013, not 1997. The Internet is the biggest "radio station" in the world. Once something is out of the bag you gotta roll with it since it spreads no matter what. Just hope it's a good song and it'll take care of itself.

Screw the "blame the US radio station" stuff.
I blame the management. That is why you have management...when things go wrong and the plan no longer works they work double time to figure out an equally good alternative plan.
Seems to me that the leak happened and they just shrugged their shoulders, released the tune on Soundcloud and YouTube early, and then just continued on with the same plan they'd had all along and didn't replace the climax...which was supposed to me FOTF released in full.
They could have staged a remix contest with the stems so they didn't all leave a string of breadcrumbs to today. They could have let Zane play the first b-side instead. Zane played 2 of Noel's b-sides, even made them the hottest records of the week. I'm sure he'd have done it for BDI too.
What a gong show. The management either didn't care enough to keep track of what was going on or they knew and didn't care enough the change anything. Either way it doesn't impress me. When the head of the agency talked them up so much a few months back I was excited because it sounded like they were going to have some really great and passionate management. Doesn't feel like that anymore.
Kudos to them for thinking of the original gimmick...shame it because sure a debacle. Can't believe tey let it get to that point.

All this radio premier hoopla makes me dizzy. Just release it. Screw the radio format. It's so outdated in this day and age. I keep going back to the band The National. They released two songs off their upcoming album last week via YouTube, soundcloud, etc. They didn't play it up towards a radio premier, they just let the music out and I don't see their fans breaking down which song is a teaser or which one is the "proper" single. All they care about is they got two very good tunes with a full album a month away. thought Beady Eye had the same management as Arcade Fire or something. They are pretty savvy with releasing music as well.

"fans", who are saying, that they are boycotting the album, just because of a fucked up airplay get a facepalm from me ... and maybe a hug of sarcasm

There's no such thing as bad publicity That's a lazy cliche and it's also not true. Bad publicity destroyed Chris Langham's career.

Jesus joney, you should listen to yourselves, old and women spring to mind. NME initially gave the info and we all rely on there breaking news!! The band have said nothing about it apart from the following;
More so than any of these things, though, Liam and the rest of Beady Eye – equally enthused-by-life guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell, quiet drummer Chris Sharrock – are today excited about their new tune Flick Of The Finger which, if the world hasn’t ended, will go live a few days after you read this.
A few days after the interview they gave to shortcut would tie in with the tune being played. Get a grip enjoy the new tune and the drip feed of info and chill out. Also anyone who went onto zane lowes media sites and gave abuse should be ashamed, it's embarrassing.

Noel is bricking it, trust me. The word on the street is that Rkid is worried about the media storm that is being whipped up. BE is pure adrenaline-fuelled, visceral rock'n'roll. Noely G didn't have the bottle to release his "out-there" collaboration. Liam has got true musical convictions.
Not long now kids.
