A Second Bite of the Apple is a second single, right? Then, at least give us the first single name and the release date! Not the first playing date. 'Second Bite of the Apple' is going to be the next song we hear. FOTF was the 1st single no matter what way you look at it.

what concerns me the most is that the band think FOTF is the bomb. Its mediocre at best and concerns me about the rest of the album

I agree 100% about the music the leak messed it up thats not their fault and must be frustrating for them. I know your saying fuck knows as we all don't know but why say they will make that announcement then fail to deliver. It can't be cos of the leak as that was nearly a week prior to that announcement. Like I said bonkers said it would be Tuesday so if that turns out to be true it's not circumstance but out right lying.. If they don't announce at all I can't see why those gigs would've been booked months ago It still is Monday in fairness. Could be coming from 9pm onwards, seeing as that's when the show is ending and probably when they'd be announced on their website. If not, then the management team could be in need of a serious reshuffle if they hope to turn this shitheap around before the 29th. They could to save face. Except an announcement being tied to a tv/radio show when has any band/business etc done an announcement at 9pm at night? I really hope your right

We thought that when we thought we were getting the first single this week. In which case the video wouldn't have been finished in time for the single being played. If the first single isn't for a couple weeks it's very possible Second Bit of the Apple is the first single

I think the American radio station's at fault here. The release of the stems was a good idea would've been great leading up to today, which was meant to be today. The whole things just unfortunate really. But we only got FOTF on Saturday the other week, no point in getting impatient, you have an isolated Liam vocal to play with

In the end, it comes down to management and not a lone radio station. If management had kept tighter reins on this, the radio station wouldn't have had a chance to play it early. The least they could have done was revise their announcement.

Hype up and running! Yea, his was pretty streamline. The only tid bit that was wrong was not have The Death of You and Me up for pre-order along with the video. I believe there was a few hour lag time. But for the most part it was nearly perfect how he did things.

Though, the Death of You and Me's music video was pretty good and a nice return to put out there. The rest were poor.

What's the big fooking deal? At no stage was there an official announcement that the track was to be played tonight! Yet you all tuned in based on no confirmation & then get annoyed when it isn't played?
We have the album name, release date, track listing & a track from the album to listen to!

Oh dear Mr. Acting Manager, tell us more on how *you* would've gone about rectifying such a warranted catastrophe of Biblical proportions... For we chums dearly need your foresight (or hindsight) in such times of need. Your endless analysis of promotional aptitude, or lack thereof, is not at all affected by a definite intention on subjugating one faction over another. Ohh Mr. Acting Manager, if only the world would aligned itself with someone of the level of discernment such as you have, we would be all considerably grateful and less antagonistic.

I'd blame people who believe everything they read on twitter and facebook. At no point there was an official announcement about another track being played today, only tour news which just went online. People makes such a fuss about nothing, I don't get it. Plus, April 29th isn't that far away

They've embraced twitter and FB for the last 7 days with the STEMS and unlocking them etc so they can't play dumb to what's going on. OFFICIALLY: both the NME and Zane Lowe said or retweeted a story saying BDI mgt said their single would be played on 15th April. Then both Zane Lowe, Xfm (twice) and Steve lamaq said FOTF wasnt the single. So it's easy to see why people are disappointed regardless of official announcement. If they are going to embrace social media they should and not only when it suits them (for promotion). It would've taken them 10 seconds to clear up, be honest and say the single play back now 29th not the 15th anytime in the last week

Plus, April 29th isn't that far away To be fair, there's no way management couldn't know that many fans were looking forward to a play of a song tonight. They themselves never released a statement revising rumors of Flick of the Finger as the single or not. I think they could have at least told fans the status of Flick of the Finger before tonight. Also, they didn't have to continue with the release of the stems either. What did they think fans would think? Zane said there'd be an announcement and stems were being released that were clearly leading up to something. A bit of it is on fans, but management could have rectified most of this with at least a statement as to whether Flick of the Finger leaked or actually released prior to today. Also, in today's internet age it's never guaranteed that you will get an advanced announcement.

Jesus Christ, we had a new song a week ago. Why are so many people getting their knickers in a twist about not getting one tonight? Common sense should have led people to be doubtful of hearing anything new until the Beady Eye pages say that something is coming and when. We've all been burned before by people claiming to have the inside info on it and we will do again.

But what everyone thought would happen today was that there would be a new single on radio (other than FOTF), and that was only tweeted by Zane Lowe to make people listen to his radio show. Then everyone built this whole thing up

Versions of Record Machine and Stop The Clocks with Liam on vocals would be sufficient apology for me maybe throw in Full On as well
