Noel's got honey in his voice......but seriously i enjoy his vocals normally....
i remember during one of the acoustic live performances of Importance of Being Idle for a radio show his voice kinda cracked towards the end and that was my favorite part of the performance.....random story but whatever.
God bless.

His best vocal was Morning Glory at Earls Court.

I'd say his best vocal is Don't Look Back In Anger from City of Manchester 2005

Noel has certainly grown into a very skilled vocalist for sure.

I really like Noel voice. On the Oasis albums his soft vocals made a nice contrast from from Liam's voice. Gave it a nice Lennon-McCartney feel.

Every version of Slide Away acoustic, especially in the "I don't know, I don't care, all I know is you can take me there" bit, is magical.

Every version of Slide Away acoustic, especially in the "I don't know, I don't care, all I know is you can take me there" bit, is magical. Definitely. I love all the versions I saw from the STC tour. Amazing. I had listened to Oasis bits and pieces before and liked them but seeing those STC acoustic sets on YouTube were what pushed me into finding out more about the band and becoming a proper fan.

His best ever performance, I believe, was Acquiesce in the 2005 Manchester gig. Utterly sublime. He peaked 2005-2009. Not so keen on the tone he's adopted during the HFB era. It's very bizarre. I agree completely with his voice peaking from 2005-2009. That unnatural countryish twang he developed with his solo work I'm not too fond of.

I do think he didn't really shine with Falling Down and some others.
But he still have that magnetizing element that I don't know how to describe.

Probably is like a rather weird choice, but I like his smooth voice in "She is love".

I find there is a sadness in his voice. This. Which makes his acoustic performances so relaxing, it really allows you to let your emotional guards down and just enjoy the moment. There is a touch of sorrowfulness in his voice when he does his acoustic performances which it unmatched by anyone else in my opinion. Half The World Away, Talk Tonight and Fade Away are prime examples of this.

I can't add anything more, because you've all said it for me. In response to all my fellow fans of "Slide Away," one of my favourite performances in Sitting Here in Silence: His delivery and emotion are amazing, and his and Gem's chemistry is incredible.

Always loved Noel's voice - it was the thing that turned me to Oasis. The Oasis songs that grabbed me when I wasn't a fan was Little By Little, Importance of Being Idle, The Masterplan and Dont Look Back In Anger. Without his voice, who knows, I might never have turned to Oasis.
I never used to like Liam's voice - I always preferred softer, melancholic tones than the aggressive snarl of Liam when I was in my early teens and a kid. But when I heard Some Might Say that all changed - I got the whole aggressive thing and I never looked back, and I still don't think any singer in the world could replicate Liam's performance on Noel's songs - I mean, he turned pretty average tunes like Lyla into something that you can actually listen to again and again. Without his vocals for Lyla, I would never listen to that tune.
But Noel's voice is fantastic too - the pair of them can sing so well and yet both have completely opposite styles. Always brought that diverity to Oasis I think where most bands can't alternate between singers.

If only they'd kept the formula of Noel writing, Liam singing, with Noel singing the odd song!

If only they'd kept the formula of Noel writing, Liam singing, with Noel singing the odd song! The problem was letting the other write. Once that started happening Noel started singing his own songs and the quality as a whole went down. Noel's songs remained the highlights for me (regardless of who was singing them) because the others just weren't good enough. It's why I don't want a reunion. I'm happy to get all Noel written songs even if it means sacrificing Liam's vocals. At the end of the day Noel singing Cast No Shadow got me into oasis so Liam has never been tantamount to my enjoyment.

Its magical - Cast No Shadow, Slide Away, Roll With It, Morning Glory (WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL) or Songbird (sometimes live he added) or Layla (!).

After Be Here Now you can hear the way he put more effort into singing, guitar playing. I wouldn't say that... In fact, I think he stopped trying to be Jimi Hendrix and focused more on his singing. Enlisting Gem enabled him to put the wax down for the most part. Can't really think of too many memorable Noel riffs/solos post BHN aside from RIO and TIOBI. I'd rather Noel keep thinking he's Hendrix and would of rather Oasis moved on to make a hard rock album

The Importance of Being Idle and Idler's Dream are his best vocals in the studio for me, very different but amazing in their own right
I wish he had said yes to playing the Olympics and played Wonderwall like how he played it at TCT 2010, my favourite version of Wonderwall and would've blown the billion viewers or whatever it was away when you consider what else was on offer that night. Credit to Liam for having the confidence to play it knowing everyone would slate him, but it wasn't a memorable performance (though not the shambles everyone makes it out to be), but if Noel had performed it like that it would've been a stunner for everyone watching.
