I always hated Schilling. Beat the Yankees in AZ and BOS. I think he was a juicer too. Which I dont have a problem with. He seemed to get better after 30. He was a great playoff picture like Pettite but a little overrated IMO. I doubt he was a steroid guy. He was one of the more upfront MLBPA members demanding PED testing be added to the next CBA. He and Lance Berkman lobbied hard for it to be included and ratified by their fellow union members. In terms of his on the field performance, there are very few pitchers you'd want in a big spot than Schilling. He always rose to the occasion and has so many iconic postseason moments. That alone will get him into Cooperstown. If it weren't for Randy Johnson, Curt would have 1-2 NL CY Youngs. Regular Season:
216-146, 3.46 ERA, 3,116 Strikeouts, 1.13 WHIP and a 4.38 K/BB ratio* *2nd best all-time behind only Tommy Bond who retired in 1885! Postseason:
11-2, 2.23 ERA, 133.1 IP, 120 Strikeouts, 0.96 WHIP, 3 World Championships World Series:
4-1, 2.06 ERA, 48 IP, 43 Strikeouts, 0.89 WHIP Stop with your silly stats. Kalas says they don't matter.

Pretty cool to see Jeter get a standing ovation and his name chanted at Fenway.

Pretty cool to see Jeter get a standing ovation and his name chanted at Fenway. One of the best fans in baseball. Cardinals are another. I'd be shocked if Yankee Stadium ever gave BIG PAPI such treatment.

This is whe i t miss The BOSS i know he was hasty in firings , but the BOSS would be cleaning house now, giradi. Let him go where his heart is CHICAGO , now that JETER is gone a year or two to late imo but he was entitled to do it his way , George would go nuts with a year like this ,wouldn't be SUPRISED. If he would offer Torre the moon , or try to trade to get buck back , sign all free agents available , he may have been his own circus , but he spared no expense to win good or bad

It depends on player big popi no , he wasn't a lifelong Red Sox. , he was a bit controversial ,some say a cheat , so no , but I've seen yankee fans be great. To opposing players, they would have acknowledged TED Williams. They do show respect , big popi is great , but he is not as lily white as jeter imo. So no they wouldn't ,but they have showed class at times . And Boston fans. Aint so polite. Been to many bruin games vs Rangers They are every bit as vulger trust me on that, got into a few scrapes there at old garden. A place I loved to go to great atmosphere

Funny cards have lower payroll than Giants , or Dodgers , yet they're in final 4 again , and have won series without the so called genius larussa , , 11 titles overall best baseball town , wouldnt call them a low spending team ,but giants are 6th and highest left in final 4 for payroll, goes to show U don't need to spend as much as yanks , sox , Dodgers

George Brett should activate himself for game 1 of the ALCS Roger Dorn style.

So good to see old fashion baseball , kc a team I hated in 70 s and 80 s ..Brett , Amos Otis , Freddie ptaek , dennis leanord , John Mayberry , they were great when money didn't rule the game , good to see good pitching can still win in big money era

Classic case of if this was happening in New York. The Giants are by no means a Cinderella. they have the 6 th highest payroll in baseball so they are supposed to be in position every year to CONTEND , however not all big money teams do contend , .... If this was ny and they win the series , this wil be there 3rd in what 4 or 5 years i forget I believe 4 years ,that's a dynasty , I hope it's acknowledged as one the way it would be if my yanks did this ...,,,AGAIN Im a bit foggy Robert Van Winkle Sternumman (your the stat man I know you know these things ) how many teams in modern era. 69 on have 3 in 4 years ? Off top of my head , the A's ( 3 in row ) the yanks ( 3 in row 4 in 5 years). The rest , the Reds which are considered a dynasty 2 in row , the jays 2 in row , the cards have been on a run but not 3 in 4 years if memory serves. If this was New York it would be all over espn , power of nyc I guess , but whole world ( USA ) should recognize , again it's not magical run they are 6 th highest payroll so no Cinderella dynasty , but I'm impressed if they pull it off. , and im rooting for them. I can't stand kc. For old hate reasons

For old hate reasons I don't know, man...I don't follow baseball that closely. the Reds team in the 70's were really good. the Braves in the 90's...always in the hunt. that's why I like Patriots, always in the hunt. I'll take that over say what the Baltimore Ravens are - win the Super Bowl one year and completely suck the next year. God bless.
