Finally, there’s your own set. Will you be doing any new songs?
"I might do one brand new one, and then I’m doing one or two solo ones I’ve never done before live. And a couple of Oasis tunes I’ve never done before. These nights at the Albert are special, so you’ve got to do something different. I did 11 gigs in London last year, all told, so I can’t do the same set again."
Looks like it will be a complete turnover for the setlist.
One or two HFB's songs he's never done before? There's only two: Alone On The Rope and I'd Pick you Everytime

I bet he'll play Stop The Clocks. He's only done it live that once in 2003, so chances are he's forgotten he's played it before

Simple Game of Genius could be the other one, he only played it live once, I think.
When he says oasis songs he hasn't done live, does he mean solo or when he was in the band?

Watchya! I'm new to the board (fan since 1994) and I am going the gig in Dubai tomorrow. I will keep ya posted with any new songs and try and get them uploaded on to youtube also. Would love him to play Setting Sun - such an underrated acoustic cover. Incidentally the local press here have marketed it as a set by Noel Gallagher with at least 75% oasis songs. Outrageous they have done that and I am sure some of the spoilt brats will be complaining when they hear songs they don't know. The purists however can't fucking wait for this gig! Richard Ashcroft is also on the same bill so I'm expecting a collaboration.

If he'll play songs like a Simple game of Genius,Alone on the rope,a new song (TDOTL,Come on outside,Solve my mistery or a song that we've never heard),oasis b-side like Shout it out loud and then songs like DLBIA,EOTR,IIHAG,What a life,TDOYAM,Freaky teeth ecc...it would be great!

Your asking a LOT there lol Fingers crossed though, I may stay away from the forum as I'm going to the TCT gig next Saturday and don't want to spoil the suprise of the new songs, as I imagine the setlists will be similar or identical

I'm going to curb my enthusiasm until I see a setlist. This is Noel Gallagher we are talking about. Not Pearl Jam. Variety isn't one of his traits.

What would be cool would be a one-off single with benefits going to TCT, but we can only dream

What annoys me is that the first time he was asked he said "I'll play two songs", the second time he said "I'll play one new song" and in his last interview he said "I might play one new song". Ffs... I can see him playing none, tbh

Noel is the single most dull artist that I listen to regularly in terms of song selection. I'm expecting this to be a somewhat dull affair.

Can you iagine Noel playing very song he ever recorded (plus a few more!) like PJ?? No obviously, but we can at least imagine it! I for one would just like to see him try songs he hasn't rehearsed to death.
