I'm guessing that the English version series one is the same as the Swedish version. But I'm not sure if they'll make another series of the English version. Did you have a version in Swedish with English subtitle? Yes, all the foreign dramas on All4 have English subtitles.

It's part two of Hollington Drive is on ITV tonight but I wish that you could bindge watch it on ITV Hub. Also, yet another good episode of Wentworth last night but it's a shame that there's now only three more episodes to go before it ends for good.

Hollington Drive was good last night, I think that it'll all come out in the end. Also, I finally finished season 2 of The Yard on Netflix and I really hope that they'll do some more soon.

The Jimmy Saville documentary on ITV last night. What a horrible peado he was and he should never have been allowed to get away with it for so long. The BBC were at fault for just turning a blind eye to it all. It's a shame that he died before he could face justice. I remember the exposure documentary which ITV did 10 years ago which exposed it all. But he used his fame to hide what he really was and what he was upto.

The Forest season one on Netflix, it's good. It's another foreign police drama, French infact. I'm not sure if there's anymore after this season.

Same. Went a bit bonkers at the end but give Hamish Linklater an Emmy nomination. The man went to town in all the best ways.

Same. Went a bit bonkers at the end but give Hamish Linklater an Emmy nomination. The man went to town in all the best ways. Sensational performance. Had to ice skate on about five layers of characterisation and glided on them like butter. I agree, last episode was messy. SPOILERS AHEAD: I think the show was at it's creepiest when the idea that this monster could be an Angel of God was still in the air. By far the scariest idea in the show is that there is an infinite God with absolute power to shape morality, and that this monster is one of his Angels. I feel like by making it a vampire/zombie thing, a lot of the more terrifying ideas melted away. I understand human psychology is the "true" monster, but it's even scarier to imagine that human psychology is insignificant and bewildered in the face of a vast, amoral, and controlling God. Plus, the fact that Bev didn't just hide under a canoe. Like, Bev, babe, there's a bridge. You're evil, not dumb.

Plus, the fact that Bev didn't just hide under a canoe. Like, Bev, babe, there's a bridge. You're evil, not dumb. Hahaha. I'm a big fan of ambition in storytelling -- I'd rather a film or TV show put a whole bunch of ideas into the air and miss some coming down than aim low and succeed. What I loved about the show was that it went for a fairly deep deconstruction of faith, both in its beauty/balm and its outsized dangers, all while sustaining pure suspense through 7 episodes. To have an amoral God behind it all is an interesting idea, and yes that's truly terrifying, if that's the end goal. But I think Flanagan was going for a more timely metaphor in terms of the way belief and misinformation can be conflated and turn into fanaticism. Definitely agree that the air of mystery in the first few episodes was really strong and there was a letdown once it became full of more standard vampire tropes (although still the way it fit so perfectly in with Catholicism, and the way it fit with the story's central examination of grief, remained intriguing.) And yeah, there was a whole sieve's worth of plot holes in that last episode! Although I guess once you've suspended your disbelief some of it can be forgiven (like that no one on the mainland noticed the entire island on fire from 30 miles away). I'm kind of assuming that at least a couple of the characters realized they had other options in the final moments so that they might survive for Season 2 ....... certainly Netflix wants it.

I knew of Hamish Linklater's mum from my home, she didn't live far away from where I grew up.

I started rewatching Prisoners' Wives on BritBox last night. I did watch it when it was on the BBC a few years ago but I can't remember a thing about it. It was good though.

Sean Bean death reversal comedy. One of my favourites too. Now I'm just imagining if Patrick Bergin's death was reversed. Leave it Sean *boat blows up, spared Ryan movies for life*

Hollington Drive on ITV last night. The truth is coming out now but how long will it be before the police realise that a murder has been covered up. It's the final episode next Wednesday so we'll find out.
