I started watching Cardinal season one on BBC IPlayer last night. I've only watched one episode so far as I didn't start watching it until later on. I'll watch more later.

I've only seen the final season (as they're not making anymore) when it was on BBC 2 last year and I enjoyed that season.

I've got one more episode of Cardinal season one to watch (as I watched four episodes last night due to them being only 45 minutes long). Then I'll start watching season two. And of course it's Wentworth tonight.

Just finished it. Iβm not the biggest F1 Fan, but he was an icon back in the day, and I gotta say I teared up a little at the end. What a tragic ending to a phenomenal career.

Another good episode of Wentworth last night. There's going to be trouble in store for Ferguson.

Just finished it. Iβm not the biggest F1 Fan, but he was an icon back in the day, and I gotta say I teared up a little at the end. What a tragic ending to a phenomenal career. I watched this too a couple of days ago. Fascinating stuff, and I never knew quite how hard Senna's death hit him. It does gloss over his misdemeanours (literally nothing about his battle with Alonso and when he parked the car in Monaco) and pretty much skips his dominant years (2001-2005), but everything prior to that is fascinating. F1 bios are always fascinating and I think it comes with the territory of the sport. You have to have a next level mindset to risk your life in the name of sport and put yourself in a car which are often death traps (Grosjean's fireball last year was instant death I thought at the time). Check out Damon Hill's autobiography. He writes so eloquently about his insecurities and fears during the time he won the world championship in 1996, his autobiography is one of the best sporting ones you'll ever read. Psychologically, they are the most fascinating sportsmen out there and I listen to podcasts with ex-F1 drivers talking of their experiences and there's so much to grasp. No room for error (difference between losing and winning is a hundreth of a second or less), speed defying overtaking, supreme fitness required all while blocking out the 'what ifs' regarding the dangers. The pressure is intense and it amazes me how the very best have the mental stamina to last so long, like Schumacher. Also catch the documentary Senna if you haven't seen it - definitely one for non-F1 fans that gives you a sense of the sport. It's the same producers as Supersonic and it's incredible.

The medical staff treating my sister after her human + tree incident (she copped a concussion and a fear of skiing after that) a Schumacher even though it was only minor. She doesn't know why they called it that.

I still haven't finished watching the full boxed set of Cardinal on I Player yet. I've only watched the first two seasons, I'll watch some more soon if I don't start watching anything else after I've finished watching Wisting on Acorn TV.

Yeah I liked the Senna documentary, although it was a bit unnecessary to paint Prost as the villain when you can say the same about Senna Fully agree with you regarding the portrait of Prost - they did a hatchet job on him as if he was some kind of Pixar villain. For F1 nerds, it's definitely sensationalist - there's a lot of disrespect towards the ability of, say, Nigel Mansell who apparently only won because his car was the best in 1992. But the film definitely embodied the spirit and beauty of the sport at its best and what made Senna great.

Do you think those documentaries would be good for people who have never got into F1?
I watched it for a fortnight when I was a teenager. Never been my thing. I've heard about the Senna film but always nudged it to the side in favour of stuff that's more my interests - would they appeal to those who aren't into the sport?

Sex Education - S3
Also will be looking for a new show to start with my friend on Wednesday. We never agree on anything, so if anyone can recommend a good controversial show to really get the arguments started, that'd be appreciated. We do like character drama and I love time travel, which she hates. Hoping to find something that sneaks in time travel at some point.
Just to annoy her.

We do like character drama and I love time travel, which she hates. Hoping to find something that sneaks in time travel at some point. Just to annoy her. Did you watch the German show "Dark" ... a time travel must. Didn't like it, to be honest. Everyone told me I would like it, and then I felt guilty about binning it off after the first series - it felt like all the characters made it their mission to be dull and all the twists explained themselves twice as if I couldn't get it the first time. I'm still waiting for something to scratch the same itch that Doctor Who S5/6 did for me - charismatic characters, sharp humour, big emotions, and some of the most imaginative plots ever put on screen. Rebooting the universe! With a fairytale prison! In the heart of an exploding time machine!
