Looked around but there isn't an article about this as far as I can see, but if it's lurking around, apologies for this.
If not, what albums is everyone anticipating this year. Some big releases coming this year, none more so evident on this site than the intrigue surrounding Beady Eye's new album.
Just some of the ones I'm itching for this year include Arcade Fire, Frightened Rabbit, U2, Beady Eye, Johnny Marr and many many more.

Sia actually used to be pretty good before she sold her soul and started writing garbage for all of these American pop stars.

I started a similar thread on efestivals forum. Came to the conclusion that this should be a good year for music (for me anyway!). Looking forward to the following:
eels, B.R.M.C. Miles Kane, Beady Eye, Stereophonics, The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Royksopp, Aynsley Lister, Booka Shade, Ian Ball Darwin Deez Foster the People White Lies Phoenix The Prodigy Arctic Monkeys
edit, almost forgot Primal Scream!

Good list there, forgot about Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand. Can't fault my exclusion for Franz - they seem to take an age these days to release new albums. Only had one out since 2005, this four year gap plus has been their longest absence.

Arctic Monkeys is going to release in 2013? They've been recording for some time now, haven't they? I've read a few statements from Alex Turner about the album as well and it sounded like it wasn't that far away.

The Joy Formidable's new album is due out next week, Exit Calm's in mid-February. I'm looking forward to both. And Arcade Fire's, of course.

Nice thread, matt!
I'm looking forward to the new albums this year by:
Broken Records Erland and The Carnival The National Frightened Rabbit Ed Harcout Lisa Germano
and some debut albums by my favourite new bands:
Temples Pale Sea Kodaline
and of course the very first solo album (not to mention with The Healers) by my forever guitar hero!
Just been to my first gigs of this year. Saw Temples at Eurosonic. They're really something. I bet Cast and TheImportance might gonna like them. Brilliant band.

The venue was packed. The front man of the band, James is the former guitarist of The Moons.
