Ah, I just gave their single a spin over the past weekend and I do dig it. Love the flutes on Prisms! I knew you would like them They only released one single so far, but their gig was really good. The venue was packed. The front man of the band, James is the former guitarist of The Moons. Never heard of The Moons, worth checking out?

Never heard of The Moons, worth checking out? The Moons are formed by Andy Croft (keyboard player for Weller, so you must have seen him with Weller last year). Their music is pretty 60's/mod and their second album is just out. They supported Beady Eye on their European tour late 2011. I like The Moons and Andy Croft is a very talented musician, but Temples are really something. I think everyone will know about them soon.

At the moment it's really down to two albums that I'm very excited for: David Bowie and The Strokes. For everything else, I'll get excited when their releases draw nearer. I gave them a chance, they're alright, but I'm glad Temples formed! They're on another level!

Looking forward to Travis's new album, and I've always had a massive soft spot for Embrace, who will release their first album in 7 years.
It's still got to be Arcade Fire for me though. Three top top quality albums - The Suburbs the best album of the 2000s personally, hopefully they can keep that form going.

No-one's mentioned Foals who have their new album in a couple of weeks. 'Inhaler' and 'My Number' are brilliant singles.
Ones to watch for me are:
Beady Eye Arcade Fire Stereophonics Travis Embrace Suede Miles Kane Foals BRMC Primal Scream

I'd up that and say that Funeral, Neon Bible, and The Suburbs are three of the best albums of the past thirty or forty years. They're probably the most consistent band out there.

Arcade Fire is timeless. They're fucking amazing. Not so commercial that they're massive sell outs (and getting collaborations from the latest RnB star...) and not so creative that they're pretentious. They've got it perfect.

One of the great treasures from Scotland such as Broken Records, The Twilight Sad and Kassidy. Scot Hutchinson is a genius. My favourite album of theirs is still "The Midnight Organ Fight", a brilliant album was that (and still is) A great band. I'm gonna buy it this week, matt. PS: a good friend of mine recommended a new Scottish band called "Dark Jokes". You might gonna like them. Their first single "Low Winter Sun" is a lovely song.

KT Tunstall's new album is absolutely beautiful. Absolutely amazing album, by far the best of her career. Not in the minority either, it has been getting rave reviews from what I've read.
