So has it been confirmed that Mark Stent is indeed mixing the album? If so that's pretty big/exciting news. Surprised its not getting talked about more around these parts. SOTSOG is by far the best produced/mixed Oasis album.

i really like how it seems, that they are making everything different, after Different Gear, Still Speeding. Don't get me wrong, i really enjoyed their debut, but it's great to hear, that they are open for new stuff and using not the typical producers / mixing engineers.

For those of you keeping score at home:
- We have booted the door down - It will shock everyone - Gem Archer: "We've had a few mates in, there's been the sound of jaws dropping" - It's like The Beatles on acid - You'll love it if you like drugs - Could be titled "Lay Off My Avocado, Baby" - Liam's vocals were "untouched" - Features cymbals played by violin bow and a celeste - 30 songs recorded - "The World Not Set In Stone" maybe or may not be on album - Dave Sitek produced it - Mark Stent mixed it - Jeff Wooton plays on the album, won't tour it.

I had little to no interest in this new album, but I've gotta give the boys credit for leaving their comfort zone. Roll on Beady Eye.

There's no way Liam's vocals were untouched... I know he can still turn it on sometimes but there must have been some editing or polishing of his vocals on some songs...

I'm expecting a few effects if its the 'Beatles on acid...', but I don't mind as long as it fits the song and the song is good.

Imagine having a song called "Right". That just seems so boring and wrong.

I may be doing him a disservice but I'm pretty sure he's not adverse to a wind up, especially in the BE forum.

spike stent news isn't true We really need to get to the bottom of this. Can someone with twitter just ask Spike? Or someone else in the know, management or even Mrs. Archer.

It is certainly not out of the realm of possibility. Stent is called in to do a log of production, mixing and engineering gigs through the music industry. I would be happy if this news is correct. He did a great job with SOTSOG. It wasn't his fault some of the songs weren't there lyrically. I'll snoop around twitter to see what I can find.

I have a feeling this Mark "Spike" Stent news of him mixing the new Beady Eye album is 90% true. After looking over his twitter page I discovered the following re-tweet (via twitter.com/oasisnews) on his timeline from February 5. Which in english says: New album by beady eye in the final stages of mixing, made by Mark Spike Stent, the same of "Standing On The Shoulders of Giants". I highly doubt Mark would re-tweet news like that if it was false. Just my opinion but I doubt he would do that. He also tweeted on February 3rd that he is not in America currently but very "busy" in the UK. twitter.com/markspikestent
