you are the reason why all this music industry/bullshit is dead. take that ipod out of your arse and listen for real , not only cause it's on fuck i pods! listen to the whole albums of a musician! it's just like going to a restaurant and eat the potatoes on a giant plate.... Because you can't put whole albums on iPods, let alone entire discographies.

“We encouraged them to keep writing until August or September and lo and behold, they wrote 21 songs – and some of the later songs were the best ones. Then we had to find a producer. We wanted to get someone in who’d take [the album] from a 7/10 to a 9/10."So I have to assume the album IS 7/10 without any production ... just based on the quality of the songs

I hope that because they have been writing together, we wont get any Liam style lyrics. Andy is okay at lyrics, FLW is decent enough, he suffers from a tendency to be a bit cheesy sometimes (keeping dreams alive and all that). Liam is just awful, a few songs have passable lyrics (BOADC, Wigwam) and his simplicity fits some of his more twee songs (songbird, For Anyone). Surly he can do better then rhyming song, young, done and on all after each other. Gem would be my favorite of the three, he's got his own style as a lyricist, bit surreal and quirky.

That shuffle already existed on stereo and portable cd players.... but i agree, it's fuckin dumb. However, ipods are the bollocks. In the 90s, you had to choose what Cd to take with you to school, on vacation...etc that was a real nightmare when you had 250 cd like i did. Now i can carry my discography in my pocket and never have to choose again, well only what i wanna listen, which is, 100ù of the time... full albums, followed by their bsides.

I just rip all my CDs and put them on my Cowon Z2 in FLAC of course or on my cell phone in FLAC or MP3. I just can't seem get used to the shuffle. I prefer listening to the whole album.

I prefer to listen to albums from start to finish too but when I've a few people round for drinks or whatever the shuffle feature comes in dead handy. Wasn't that the whole point of it?

According to Japanese official fan site, currently the record is being mixed by Mark 'Spike' Stent.

If that's true, he also mixed Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants and Familiar To Millions. Interesting.
Looking at his Wiki, it's impressive.

Encouraging news, I think SOTSOG is overall the best produced album from Oasis.

Agree with that, though they overdid the fake choir thing a bit but of all the Oasis albums it's the best 'sounding' one if you get what I mean

and SOTSOG was beside the best sounding, the freshest sounding. although they wanted to sound like a modern day beatles band with all the mellotrons etc. they sounded MODERN! it really seems, that this record will be white, if DGSS was black.... if you understand what i mean.

Liams lyrics were probably the best on DGSS. Morning Sons lyrical content is miles above the likes of "it feels like you've blown a 50 amp fuse" and "tie our bones in one big knot" Gem should pack in and stick to being the quiet guitar man.

It is a good song though, a fan favourite at gigs. In the bubble with a bullet was pretty good as well

Its a religious song, deep in spiritual meaning and oozing in class. Its subject matter, blended into the musically fucking awesomeness creates a beautifully crafted work Liams finest.. Gem could only aspire to construct such a sonnet.

Is that the coat he wore at Loch Lomond in 1996?... I've seen loads of comments on twitter and things saying that Liam was really nice, talking to everyone, buying pints for people and signing stuff.

He's so so good with the fans, such a genuine man.
Did he say in the video the album in the next couple of months or a tour? Couldn't quite work it out.
