I take it we all agree that Broken Arrow is the best thing on there? I fucking love it. The demo is arguably even better. Best thing he's written since Bag It Up.

It's a good song, but quite girlie/cheeky lyrics.

I agree with everything you said, except the Bag It Up part. That song is average, at best. I think the lyrics in Broken Arrow are a lot stronger than they get credit for. I think the demo helps bring out their message more so than the album version. I didn't really connect with the whole notion of death on the studio version, but the demo really hits it home, especially the altered chorus at the end "Did I die in a dream / or have I lived my life?" Breaks my heart.

I think the death of you and me is better but broken arrow is definitely a close second.

The 'Bag It Up' comment borders on insanity.
I love BA though.

I find Everybody's On The Run the best one on the album. I know many people don't like that it is too much ''epic'' with all the choirs, but that's exactly the element that does it for me. If I Had A Gun takes the second place and Broken Arrow and The Death Of You And Me share the third place in my chart.

I hate to be a Debbie downer but this song just doesn't do it for me. The album version makes me think of a sailing montage in a pirate movie or something. I think the lyrics are great and the demo version is starting to warm me up to it.

I love Broken Arrow. I don't think it's the best song on the album, for me it's about the 4th best. Behind EOTR, IIHAG, and TDOYAM, while behind slightly ahead of WAL (which again, shows how great an album HFB is).
The demo version is pure Noel goodness. Just him with his acoustic. I would love to see him do a full acoustic album one day. The album version is obviously beefed up, but I'd still take it over the demo. I don't think the final chorus has as much of an impact in the demo, as in the album version. I don't know, it just doesn't take off as much as it should, imo.

I think Broken Arrow is definitely in the top 3. But Everybody's on the run & If i had a gun are the best song on the album. In my opinion.

I think its a decent song. No more, no less. Not the worst on the album but not the best either.
Personally I think Everybody's On The Run is on another level to the rest

I wasn't a big fan of it at the beginning, but I slowly got to really like it. Not my favourite on the album, but easily in the top five imho. The demo is the best acoustic track Noel has released in years...

Broken Arrow is a damn fine tune. I'm never sure what my favorite song is on the album. Some days it is EOTR, others What A Life. It just shows that HFB is a great album with good songs throughout, something Oasis lacked tremendously over the last decade or so.

If I Had A Gun takes the second place and Broken Arrow and The Death Of You And Me share the third place in my chart. The stripped-back demo of Everybody's On The Run is fantastic. That, along with I'd Pick You Every Time and Broken Arrow are definitely my favourites. Great signature btw!

IPYET, Broken Arrow and Freaky Teeth are my favourites on the demo CD. EOTR is terrific as well.

If I was to rank it (on album versions alone) I'd put it 4th or 5th behind Everybody's On The Run, What A Life, Stranded on the Wrong Beach and possibly Dream On

When i first listened to BA, Travis came up to my mind, which is a good thing...to be honest i think theyve released pretty good singles evertime, none of them are weak at all, this song could have been written by them

So, I just saw on Noel's forum that Broken Arrow it's played on Xfm and they presented as the new single from NGHFB. I assume it's going to be only for radio, no CD release, but it's cool to know. Here I find it on the playlist of Xfm. www.xfm.co.uk/onair/playlist

I like this, What A Life, The Death of You and Me and even Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks because they're uplifting and flow nicely unlike the first part of the album imo, e.g. Everybody's on the Run, If I Had A Gun... and Record Machine
