www.amazon.com/Oasis-Truth-Life-Oasiss-Drummer/dp/1843582465You can read a bit of Tony's book here, to see if you care for it at all. Frankly, it's not the greatest and he does seem to exaggerate or distort some facts. Thing is, he was a sub-par drummer who (according to Noel and others in the band) refused to practice or improve upon his technique, even when private lessons were arranged and payed for him. He had his great moments, sure, Bring It On Down for example...but really, Alan, Zak, and Chris all brought not only much better drumming to the band, but personality as well. Tony's a bit of a wet blanket in my opinion.

Anyway, don't waste your money on this new Noel biography.
There's nothing in it that hasn't been written several times previously, and in more detail.
It offers no fresh insights into Noel, Oasis, band members (current and former), tensions in the band, the split, songwriting, post-Oasis, etc. Nothing.
As most Oasis books were written in the late 90s, this was an opportunity to offer some fresh content on the band's adventures during the 2000's. But it doesn't. The last 10 years of Oasis (from SOTSOG onwards) are skimmed over in the last 40 pages, and what's there barely skims the surface.
Wikipedia offers more information.
The only research the guy must have done is read a couple of other Oasis books and an NME/Q special one wet Sunday afternoon, then simply paraphrase them.
I read it in an hour, realising it was a waste of money, then gave it to the charity shop.

Have to agree, very poor for die hard fans, the writer just seems to have watched the Mark Lawson interview and read the wiki/nme special and just used that as his research. The book is also riddled with errors; some of the b sides are quoted wrong and the dates are wrong in some places.

Need Noel to write up his own, promote it and a shit load of people will buy it... sadly, he probably can't be arsed.

Yeah, if Noel wrote his own book of Oasis recollections, I'm sure it'd be packed with new anecdotes and hilarious.
