Oh wow! Lucian Randall's Chris Morris book was a fine piece of work Ouoted for truth, Disgusting bliss is brillliant - providing huge insight into massively reclusive figure. This sounds like a fascinating read. While I'm not expecting a in depth musical analysis, the only thing I hope is that it doesn't parrot the reductive view of the music press / idiot toff journalists - "they went immediately shit overnight after Knebworth, Be Here Now is the worst crime against humanity since Hilter and killed Britpop ".

I had no idea this Noel biog was in the pipelines and am really looking forward to read it. Should be a treat! (Not to derail the thread but I remember reading a few years ago that there was another Noel biography (by a different author) in the works, but which was delayed for reasons that escape me at the moment. Anyone else remember any details about this? I'm struggling to recall the title).

He also claimed to have the first (and longer) of Noel's 1980's demo tapes and vowed to explain all in the book and release the audio at the same time. He was on another one of the Oasis forums which I think closed.

Just googled that and found from this page on StopCryingYourHeartOut that it's called My Star Will Shine, by Dougie Davidson stopcryingyourheartoutnews.blogspot.co.uk/2008/08/biography-of-noel-gallagher.htmlUnfortunately the publisher's website linked to on that page is down, so am unsure of the book's current status.

Hi! Just read this book. Not very good. It's more of an oasis story than a Noel Gallagher story. That too mostly the first 3 albums. His wife is not mentioned till almost the end of the book and I expected more stuff about his personal life. Isn't that what a biography is supposed to be? Hardly anything has been written about his life 2001 onwards, which is a little disappointing. And if you have loved Noel like me, you'll already know whatever is there in the book

There really needs to be a book about Oasis from 1997/98 to 2009. All the books out there stop at 1996/97 except Paolo Hewitt's 'Forever the People' which goes to the end of the BHN tour and begining of SOTSOG demos (before Guigs and Bonehead leave).

Saw this in the shop the other week. The last chapter covers 2009-Present. That made me put the book down again. Will probably still get it at some point mind.

Wow! Seems like you wrote a little fanfiction there mate! The book doesn't even mention Donovan and Sonny btw. Total waste.

Why did that make you put it down? Because a lot of shit happened between 2009 and now. You simply can't cover that in significant detail in one chapter of a book. A quick flick through it and I could tell it was like most unofficial biographies. Shite. I just wish Noel would hurry up and write his own

I was hoping the book would shed light on the REAL reason Oasis split. I have given this alot of thought and I think Liam is Donovan's biological father. I feel that Liam and Sara had an affair. This is why Liam and Noel no longer speak and why the band split. Also why Noel decided to marry her after 2 kids. Listen to the lyrics on NGHFB. Lot's of mention of crying and loss and love. This is just my feeling. 2+2=5

Didn't Noel say that Liam was leaving Sara rude voice mail messages?

Focuses a lot on Noel's evil side. ;D Yeh the only reason I haven't bought it already is because I thought it would just be an attempt to wipe Noel's name in the dirt which I didn't want because whilst I prefer Liam, Noel is still a hero of mine. I want to read about Liam and Bonehead and all the stuff they got up and what its like to be in Oasis
