I love Pick You, I think its great. I can see how it grates on some, but I love the feel of it and the "Em to D" part of the song.

I think it's a bit out of the norm of Noel, considering it is country. Albeit a Nashville Skyline version of country. But I think it perfectly works as a b-side. Something that shows another side of the artist, that's good, but not too good that you wonder why it's not on the album.

None weak, which is good. Just some nitpicking things here and there.
Dream On - A minute too long. FAR too many "shout it out for me/cmons" at the end.
Record Machine - I want the 10 minute long song with Led Zeppelin solos and a Liam/Noel duet
Wrong Beach - One of the better tunes, but sorely lacks Liam with the rough style vocals
Stop the Clocks - The solo is magnificent, but leading up to it is bleh. But My lord is that an outro

I would have preferred A Simple Game of Genius as the final track on the album then have Stop The Clocks are a hidden song that appears 3-4 minutes later. A nice surprise.

Seen to be in a minority here but the only track I skip is Stranded On The Wrong Beach, possibly my least favourite song Noel has written ever, find the lyrics especially the chorus absolutely cringeworthy, would rather have I'd Pick You Everytime on it over that shite (Just my opinion).

for me it's really one of the best albums of all time...... been dreaming about a Noel solo album for years, and i'm not disappointed.

It's really an awesome album for me. Everybody's On The Run and If I Had A Gun are absolute perfection for me. I really, really like Dream On, The Death Of You And Me, both AKAs, Record Machine and Stop The Clocks, with Stop The Clocks being the best out of those IMO. On the other hand, I find Stranded On The Wrong Beach and Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks really boring, didn't like them from the first listening. But still, 2 IMO boring songs won't change the fact that the remaining 8 songs are absolutely brilliant. Best album of the year, at least in my opinion

I think it's a great album, only a few things I would have liked Noel to have done different. STC is dull, Alone On a Rope would have been a way better album closer. I would have liked a version of RM closer to the demo with the bass in the 2nd verse. The album version is a bit cheesy and over produced. SOTWB could also do with a more interesting musical break, that plodding piano solo thing doesn't do much. It gives me a Glam feel, so would have been nice to hear a solo reminiscent of the early 70's, Ziggy style.
