hmmm, if i were one who thought it was a tad slow and plodding as compared to the live version, I might be one who would: find a way or website to save it in HQ from youtube, open it in a music software program (such as say, the free 'audacity') increase the tempo (without affecting pitch) by, oh, say, 10% faster re-save it as an mp3 enjoy your song with noel's current vocals, with a pace and tempo that matches the beloved live versions without anything sounding "chipmunk-y" of course i could just provide you with the link, but that would be a link to (soon to be) officially released material. if only there was a way to correct the mid-tempo problem...

Sorry this demo sounds dreadful, and if the rest are in the same recording style expect to be very disappointed. god knows what he is doing with the tambourine!

It's a DEMO that was recorded before the tour. What did you expect? The final version? Is the only studio version that we have, but let's take it easy, isn't produced to be in a record.

It sounds damn good and many many many bands would kill to have a finished version sounding as good as this. Some people are just too used to polished protooled sounds nowadays. This is real music. I love the record but this as soul. Just plug the guitar and let's go. No over thinking, that's what's been missing in Oasis in the later years.

I miss all the work Mike Rowe does on it live Agreed, his keyboards are great on the live version. I bet they will be on the studio version as well once it sees the light of day. ETA 2014/15.

Nah Noel's just waiting for the Bond soundtrack to come out to release his Bondesque song ever.

It's not that it's bad, because it isn't. It's that the live version is so much better. Hopefully Noel will listen to recordings and take that on board when finishing it.

Clearly a demo, but I'm with the majority that hope the studio version is like the live rendition. The energy and tempo and passion in the live version is simply amazing. I don't want a stripped down version of this epic tune.

I wonder how the rest of the demos will sound? More acoustic based or maybe the first version of HFB made prior to Dave Sardy getting involved? I'm at least hoping EOTR and WAL are acoustic renditions.

Yeah, Mike Rowe's keyboard work is great on that song. I also like the recent addition of some feedback by Tim Smith on some of the newer renditions of the song.

I suppose Noel is like every other musicians when he records demos, it goes everywhere, it's not focused like when you record an album. Noel wouldn't release acoustic only demos, so i expect something really interesting. Probably his most adventurous album yet.

EOTR will have keyboards on it. There'll be an acoustic guitar on there somewhere (it's Noel). IMO they'll sound like lo-fi versions of the finished songs. The mixing will be different and stuff but I'm not expecting any acoustic versions of anything.

I'm at least hoping EOTR and WAL are acoustic renditions. An excerpt of what seems to be the WAL demo surfaced a few months ago. It was kicking about here somewhere. Whether it was a studio outtake, the same demo as the one on the forthcoming CD or a different demo entirely remains to be seen.
