At first he said it was going to be on his next album, I assume the AA album. Well that album is now lost in the sands of time. It honestly should have just been on the High Flying Birds album. Playing the song live for 15 months, then having it come out 3-4 months after that on the AA album would have been too long. Now it will live on as a great, never properly released song like Neil Young's Hey Hey My My or Radiohead's True Love Waits. Originally the AA album was supposed to come out early 2012. It was never intended to have been played for 12 months live before an official version came out. We would have had the AA album 6 months ago if they delivered a decent product. Unfortunately when the track listing decisions were made they were operating under the assumption that they would be releasing all the tunes within 6 months. What I keep thinking about is the 9 other tunes that we may never hear.

Noel's debut is still relevant in the charts to release another album. Unfortunately it is in Noel's best interest to let HFB run its course before releasing another, perhaps more challenging album to the masses. Either way, in a couple weeks or maybe even days, Freaky Teeth will be on the web for us to hear. Maybe Noel will release an EP of the best AA produced tracks in the long break between his debut and second album. I know that wait will drive me nuts. Hopefully Beady Eye can hold me over .

its going to be a shame not to hear the AA album. i think the best we can hope for is TDOYAM and WAL getting a release as a download or somthing. I reckon the other songs will re recorded for another project by noel.

Maybe he'll re-release the High Flying Birds album with a bonus disc including a few of the AA mixes? That seems to be the best way of releasing them without making a big deal of it.

I believe The Coral did that for the US market when they released Magic and Medicine. They included their experimental album Nightfreak and the Sons of Becker as a bonus CD. I think it is a good idea even if the odds are against Noel doing it.

A double disc special edition would be great.

Both of those Neil Young songs were recorded live with studio over dubs.

What I'm interesting in hearing in the demo version of Freaky Teeth is the guitar work. I'm hoping that Noel did somethings in terms of guitar work that maybe he couldn't truly replicate live, but did so on record. Also, I expect the demo version to have a bit more "atmosphere". Such as the type of "space" that WAL has. Atmosphere that's hard to replicate live and guitar work that might be also be difficult to replicate live would make this demo a treat for me.

He should put out an EP of the best AA stuff on iTunes or something. It makes no sense to scrap the whole thing.

Why bother ? If it's shit, it's shit. It'll surface on the anthology in 30 years, end of story.

If the songs are good enough on their own he'll just produce them classic Noel-style and we'll get them on the next HFB album. If they were only good enough with the AA production...then I personally don't care that much.

Noel did mention several times that many songs for the AA project weren't properly structured songs to begin with. He tossed out that groove word a couple times describing them.

I was about to post this, but eva beat me to it Well, the song is great, but we already knew that. At the moment I'm not a big fan of the strange echoed vocal, but maybe it's just because I'm used to the live version. I'll give the track a few more spins now...

It's okay. It sounds like a demo. The mix in parts is a bit too low, obviously it's slowed down, and it sounds a lot more thinned out. I love the echo on Noel's voice and if were applied to the live version we have now, it would sound excellent. Reminds me of the SMS demo with Noel on vocals. Where you could tell it was great song, it's just that the mix was off and it had to be sped up. Edit: thanks Eva

It's not that great, nothing compared to the live version. Needs more bite, a bit faster and beefed up much more.
