Nice to have a studio version. I prefer the live version tempo. Plus it sounds a bit thin and the tambourine is a bit high in the mix. Definitely a low-fi demo the had planned to take a lot further in the studio IMO I actually like the vocal effects though. Think that sounds great. This version might grow on my a bit asI listen to it more. But it's a bit of a gear change after having listened to the live version for almost a year Looking forward to hearing this song again in October.

Yeah hopefully the final version is more like the live one. Who knows when we will get the final version though.
The tambourine (I think it's that) Is really annoying.

I really like this version. I feel like a hybrid of this and the live version would be a great finished track. The distortion on the vocals is great for this song (same type of effect on high horse lady and the second verse of bring it on down). The tambourine is mixed too high but to be fair the song does mention a tambourine...

Anyone think he actually recorded a legit studio version that he's holding on to for the next album? There's that clip of him writing down the tracklisting in the studio and this song is first so I'd assume he recorded a "finished" version.
I quite like the vocal effect. The tempo definitely needs to be sped up a bit, but still a great fucking tune. Would be a travesty if this is the only version that sees release. The sparse sort of style works pretty well too. Just needs to be beefed up a bit - add some energy and it'll rock my god damn balls off.
FREAKY TEEF!

Not keen on this at all. Live version urinates on it from a great height. Hopefully it's a very rough early version.

Much prefer the live version from the Melkweg gig! Can barely hear the guitar on this demo and the guitar solo?? Hopefully a studio version hits us soon!

That's the kinda sounds i've been waiting for years from Noel / Oasis. Lo-fi badass, no overthinking, nothing polished...
The rest of the demos are gonna sound way different than the record.

It's not produced at all, it's a frickin demo. Yet it sounds amazingly unique. True genius.

I don't think its produced well Are you by any chance the same guy who complained that Who Put The Weight If The World On My Shoulders sounded too much like a movie soundtrack? Because your post is equally hilarious.

love the rough production and vocal effect. The tambourine needs to be lower. It's a pretty solid demo. It would have been cool to add some more bluesy stuff in there maybe a couple guitar licks and backing vocals but hey its a demo. It's rough, raw, and I'm sure the final version is better but a good tune is a good tune and the demo shows that. One of Noel's best post 00.

Ironically this actually IS a well produced demo. The problem is the tambourine which is too high in the mix but that's a mixing problem not a production problem and I'm sure the armchair producers already knew that.

The song was much better without it. I'll take the live version anyday. The demo is okay, but I like the high energy of the live version. There's a lot of power in the song the way its been played so far.

One of Noel's best post 00. It's amazing how many time that's been said over the last year. His music has all the marking and indications of a songwriter who has finally regained confidence and love for what he's doing. I'd count songs like TDOYAM, IIHAG, EOTR, ASGOG, AOTR, and Freaky Teeth to all be superior songs to almost all of Noel's post 2000 work. It's rare to see a 45 year old songwriter who had lost it as bad as Noel had lost it to regain footing and not only write good songs, but great songs. Quite frankly it's stunning, especially when one considers that there's still a song like The Dying of the Light laying around there.
