 I can see this being either a tight 1-0 England win or a 1-1 draw going to ET/Pens. Either way, it would be nice for England to beat Germany in the Semis - there's some old scores to settle: Euro 96, World Cup 2010 (where we were beyond abysmal), etc. Italy is incredibly difficult to beat on these situations, when it's win or go back home. I wouldn't be surprised if they reach the final. anyways matches from now on can be decided with details or a good play, so all I can do is hope my national to win it Yes, Italy is the only team that managed to prevent Spain from winning a game in the last two European championships, apart from your initial shocking defeat to Switzerland in 2008. Today it's gonna be tough and the battle's on, as Beady Eye say. I do hope Mario scores a goal and Noel makes an appearance at the stadium, he was our lucky mascot against Germany in 2006. You know, just to annoy Bayern Munchen players ;D As a Germany fan, I'm hoping for a semi final against England that goes into penalty shootout  And let's see Spain win against Portugal first, Portugal really impressed me this year. I think that Germany vs. Spain is a rather realistic final...and we're not going to lose a third time! |

even Platini wants that final  at least you don't have Ballack this time everyone thinks Germany will make it, it would be nice if they lose before the final. the same thing can be said about Spain we're the champions of the world, it gives you some credit I don't know what is said abroad, but even Del Bosque reminds people we are almost newcomers on winning. One of my very first football memories is watching England being knocked out by Germany in Euro 96 in the Seminfinals on penalties.
I don't really remember the game, but I vividly remember the penalty shootout. If we win today, we face Germany in the Euro 2012 semifinals. Poetic justice....?

Poetic justice? it just means that your team will be in a similar situation and then (probably) lose, if you make it that far, the two are hardly related whatsoever unless England somehow manage to force a penalty shootout, and win from there.
