husband is unaware that his wife is dreaming to beat him up. the husband is well aware.. he takes his sunglasses off in awe of it all... The husband is aware of the fight. He takes his glasses off because of the fight he is actually seeing, not the fight that his wife is seeing. The two are seeing two completely different things. The husband is amazed by the actual fight. It's the reason for the coy and subversive looks she continually gives him throughout the fight. He's unaware that those looks aren't directed at the real fight, but the imaginary one. He's probably seeing a fight that's actually between two different genders, she sees the same thing, except she she puts both of them as the ones that are fighting.

It's not suppose to have any meaning. Hence the line in the song. Yeah, it's not really a deep, nor meaningful video.

The Dream On video was really really really awful. Worst Gallagher- related video ever.

The Falling Down video is great! Agree, Dream On was poor though, but then it's very rare you get a decent music video anyway.

As a general rule, the best Oasis videos were simplistic shots of the band standing around, the worst were when they tried to tell some kind of meaningful story. If the artist isn't going to feature in the video then it needs to be creative and innovative. None of Noel's videos so far have been. TDOYAM and What A Life were passable, but I thought Dream on and IIHAG were dull and generic - If I Had A Gun in particular is 'love song by numbers'. Videos aren't massively important nowadays, but I'd want my money back given the amount they'll have spent on actors and shooting on location.

I like both WAL and TDOYAM. IIHAG was bland.
DO was atrocious.

It can't be that far away for the release... video only takes two weeks to put together and then they usually release it soon after.

My money is on first week of June. That's 3 months after the DO single dropped.

Now we know it's a single rather than an EP or album reissue, I just wanna know what the b-side will be! Hopefully it's a new song or another AA track (not Freaky Teeth - too good to be a b-side) rather than a live track or something we've already heard.
What songs have we heard which haven't been properly released so are contenders for recycling here?
- Alone on the rope - What a Life UNKLE mix - Lord Shine a Light UNKLE mix - A Simple Game of Genius - Anything else?
AOTR is the only one there he'd recycle I think. So hopefully it's something new :-)

(not Freaky Teeth - too good to be a b-side) Some of Noel's best work are B-sides.

Yup, that's true.
But the time when his b-sides were better than a-sides was 15 years ago. That's arguably not been true for the last decade.
And the fact is no one buys singles now. I'd rather he keeps his best songs for his albums now in the times of downloads...

If we are not getting a new song then I'd like him to maybe stick a demo of one of the tracks out as a b-side. Noel always seemed keen to do that with the 3 previous Oasis albums.
The UNKLE mixes seem to have been put to one side after the vinyl release and the non-release of the digital download which was meant to happen a couple of months ago.

Don't think I've claimed to have heard the studio version, no. Just saying that from the live versions I have heard, I'd rather it's not used as the b-side to single number 5. Would be a bit of a waste for only 500 people to hear the proper version. " " right back at you

It's complete apparently.
Mike Bruce said:
"Just finished post for my 5th Noel Gallagher video. Mischa Barton and Cameron Van Hoy play "Sole Mates" featuring Golden Goose shoes."

Any more news on this?
There're seems to have been a longer gap from filming to release than the other vids...

It seems very quiet. Don't understand why they shoot a video and they still not released it.

I wonder if this is Noel's attempt to jump on the Olympic bandwagon. With the title 'Everybody's on the Run' and it's repeated mentions in the song, it'd be a neat topical song. Might be hoping for a bit of radio/TV airplay to give the album one last push.

More I've thought about it, more I see everybody maybe missing something - double A-Side anyone? EOTR and Freaky Teeth? -- video is for EOTR

It seems very quiet. Don't understand why they shoot a video and they still not released it. Does seem like a long wait. Maybe Noel wasn't happy with the video, maybe they're waiting for the stupid Olympics to be over, maybe they're waiting until later in the year so they can tie it in with the official tour DVD?
