Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will release Songs From The Great White North... an exclusive 12" vinyl 4 track single for Record Store Day on 21st April.
The 12" will be an opaque white heavyweight vinyl and in the UK will be numbered and limited. Noel says of Record Store Day:
"Record shops are as important as the records themselves."
The vinyl comprises 4 songs, all previously released as B sides:
A1 - The Good Rebel
A2 - Let The Lord Shine A Light On Me
B1 - I'd Pick You Everytime
B2 - Shoot A Hole Into The Sun

Also he should have put alone on the rope and simple game of genius on it, taken SOHITS off, leaving a nice little 5 track EP to go alongside the album

EP means Extended Play, which generally means a record with more than one b-side, sitting between a single and an album in terms of length.
The NME are definitely a bunch of idiots. but you can't be mad with them about this - cos it actually is an EP.
You should know better than to read too much into any NME headline ;-)

It's a shame there're no new tracks, or a physical release for AOTR, but hopefully we'll get some new artwork...

Awesome. So that's a Miles Kane EP and Noel Gallagher EP on the list already! Now all we need is for Kasabian and Radiohead to drop EPs too.

Looks like it's available in Canada...maybe some stores will ship to the US?
I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the artwork...it looks like the back covers of the singles. I'd have liked a nice new colorful front.
