Well obviously if you didn't like the Falling Down remix then you're probably not going to like this. You know, if it's not your type of music then it's not your type (obviously not everyone who will dislike this, dislikes this type of music). That's definitely an acceptable reason. Music is subjective in the end.
But I hope that we can express our taste in music, while respecting others. Yet there probably will be someone who dislikes this and won't know to say, unless it's some derogatory term. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

I'm really starting to warm up to this on the third listen. I want more of the AA album now please. ;D
For some reason this gives me renewed confidence that this album will be released.

Do you think this track will be on the next album? Seems odd that he'd put it out as a b-side beforehand.

Its ok, i like it. What worries me is that i have the feeling that the album will end up sounding like ONE track. I mean, you can put this in the middle of Falling Down remix and what would be the diference?

It's not as brilliant as the Falling Down remix, but that was a better tune in it's original form anyway. I really dig this. I'm waiting for the typical responses that will soon flood this thread. There's a kind of a groove to a lot of it. I love it. Ends a bit weird. Looking forward to all the "WTF?" reactions ;D

If HFBs lacked one thing it'd be any real groove, it's all pretty straight forward. I think it's fine for people to be confused, it's unlike anything Noel's ever done (well, except the AA remix obviously), but I hope it at least gets a fair shot from the people here.

Do you think this track will be on the next album? Seems odd that he'd put it out as a b-side beforehand. It will probably be there. This is probably just a little taster to ease people into it. It gives me confidence that this album will be released because if all the tracks or nearly all the tracks on this album are anywhere near this then you can't tell me that Noel is just going to sink all his time and money in something that's this consuming and not see it released. I mean, this album almost has to be released now if he's pouring this much recourse into it in terms of time, money, days in the studio, cost of session musicians etc.

Noel does Radiohead.
So people hated The Good Rebel because Noel says "Rain" 15 times, but these same people love this pointless background music where Noel says the same line several times, repeated with 100 "Sun"s? Ok.
The last 2 minutes are the only decent parts.
Most pointless thing I ever heard. Makes High Horse Lady look like The Masterplan.

My only criticism (and its a small one) is the repetitious lyrics but its not something that takes me out of it.

I hope the AA album is more song structure based and less of the repetition. I like the vibe of it but it's a bit dull with the repeated vocal lines.

TGR is probably my least favourite B-Side but it has nothing to do with Rain being repeated.

I'm hoping the record comes to fruition in short order and we get it sooner rather than later.
There's been more positive comments on this thread than I anticipated but, I can definitely see why people would think it sucks due to repetitiveness. I'm not a big AA / FSOL fan in general, but you can't argue with the quality of this and the Monstrous Falling Down Mix.

First 4 minutes are very repetitive. It gets interesting after that. Gotta say I think I'd have preferred to only hear Noel vocals.
Hoping the rest of the songs have varying styles and sounds etc. If the whole album is a lot like this, it will be one long, boring listen. I'll reserve final judgement until I hear the actual record, but this song in particular sounds like one idea recycled 100 times with a bunch of stuff thrown on top. Not hearing a whole lot of talent out of AA here tbh.
It's not terrible, but could be a whole lot better.
