Seems like JD Sports stopped all mid season sales. End of season sale usually starts at the beginning of June. Thanks I'll keep my eyes peeled, I want another collarless jacket! Was there anything decent there? Black Label stuff? Thinking of going on Sunday. Thanks in advance.

Reading these comments, it's quite alarming how many of you are missing whats actually happened here. The selling of the clothes was doing absolutely fine. They sold £34m worth of clothes last year. That's huge. These comments about you don't pay £35 for a t shirt etc. Erm yeah you do and its proven by how many people wear Pretty Green and proven by the fact a company was willing to buy it. It's gone tits up because it created far too many stories, in a time where the high street really isn't doing well. Then to top it off House Of Fraser who they had a big deal with to sell clothes in their stores, went bust. That's why Pretty Green went into Administration. Fucking bingo. It's amazing how many people just write a narrative in their head and go with it. That made me laugh..... Thanks.

I went to the sample sale in Leeds. It was all medium. Literally all. Bunch of pricks. I imagine they didn't mention it on the advertising in the hope that people who are usually a small or large would buy something just to justify the trip to themselves. Was there anything decent there? Black Label stuff? Thinking of going on Sunday. Thanks in advance.

But it was also a week ago. Prices were all standard from £10 for t-shirts up to £50 for coats (I think) and £100 for leather jackets.

Thanx fam, got a new Mandarin collar jacket for $103.00 with shipping (which is 12 bucks less than what PG used to charge for shipping before administration)!

Great sound here, I wonder if the whole gig was pro-shot or just bits for the Adidas ad. It might explain why "Shockwave" featured twice on the setlist, they might have initially planned a second take for backup.

The whole collab is really clever for both adidas and Liam. Liam can have 'his own clothing line' without any financial risk, in fact he actually makes money by licensing his name and promoting the items. Furthermore, the line will create further buzz around his album release. And for adidas, Liam's name is much more valuable than e.g. Miles Kane for Fred Perry. There are not many names around that are as attractive as Liam's for their core target group. Actually, the whole idea of Adidas Spezial (small ranges, high quality, limited editions) fits Liam's vision of what 'his clothing' should be like much better than Pretty Green after ca. 2013.

¡I'm not wearing socks right now! Thanks.

I don't see Liam wearing PG at all now. Is he still involved?

No. PG went into administration and JD Sports bought it. See page 31.

Don’t that mean they just saved it or have they purchased the design side and everything as nothing seems to have changed

Simplified: JD Sports saved the company from being put into liquidation but they closed all the stores except the one Manchester. The former owners (LG, Rockpool etc) didn't receive any money from JD for the acquisition and PG's creditors lost a lot of money.

Don’t that mean they just saved it or have they purchased the design side and everything as nothing seems to have changed Well, surely they have saved the brand and all that entails. They took the business over from Liam and co., founded a new company (it's not operating as Pretty Green Ltd anymore, but as PG2019 Ltd) and are working on restructuring the whole thing to make it profitable again.

So is Liam actually part of the company anymore or is he out out? He made mention in an interview the other day he could bump into Noel in one of his pretty green stores.

He’s much better suited to Adidas now his style has gone back to street football Manc lad, similar to 90’s Oasis. A lot of Pretty Green was very 60’s 70’s retro which is a bit niche - Paisley shirts and scarves

I'll probably hit sales of stuff from last 6 months and then done with PG. Might shock me and have some decent stuff but don't see it tbh. Besides that apart from Parkas and jackets my missus ends up nicking what I usually buy at some point

This photo of Liam wearing an Adidas Spezial Jacket was posted a few days ago. The jacket launched yesterday and it sold out within seconds on every single online store. Despite the fact that Liam neither looks happy in it nor wears a size that actually fits. Perfect example of the marketing potential PG lost in the last years without Liam... http://instagram.com/p/By1wjuzh8CH
